Cleveland (Ohio) Heights running back Marquise Davis's recruitment is officially in the home stretch. After participating in the Under Armour Next camp at the NFL Hall of Fame last weekend he explained why he’s ready for the process to be over. He also discussed how Michigan factors into the race and his relationship with running backs coach Tony Alford.

You all thought it was sour grapes when Buckeye fans warned you about Alford. There's a reason Day gave him a pay cut with an ultimatum to tighten up his recruiting...yet Michigan gave him a HUGE raise with a 3 year guarantee.🤦🏾Now just watch, Alford is gonna put all his eggs into Miami kids who might seem interested at first, but will eventually leave him stranded on signing Day. Then get ready for some crazy in-season decisions, like seeing Micah Kaapana come in as an emergency back, go a couple games stretch totaling 400+ yards rushing; only for Alford to bench him the rest of the season and then decide it's best to redshirted Micah in '25. Vintage Tony...🤷🏽

Idk how I feel about this kid, the whole: "dont OVER play me" thing...if coach calls your number you give it your all regardless of how much. If you are a RB and you are worried about too many run plays like wtf is your real work ethic? Michigan runs the ball more than most anyone else and our RBs dont have a history of injury or anything.

That's hysterical.What culture ? 50 players gone, most of your coaching staff gone or out getting drunk. There is no culture.You can spin it any way you want to, but with a much tougher schedule this year you will be lucky if you lose less than four games.Those that leave will be cowards.

Buckeye fans get the last laugh.Remember last cycle when Aaron Scott, Bryce West and the DE from Austintown, Ohio were all supposedly locks for UM ? Guess what ? You whiffed on all three !
I think, sadly, that Marquise Davis is Kentucky bound. Almost to the point where I'd say it's a lock based on the recent chatter. Another NIL casualty for U of M. Hope I'm wrong. He's the best RB in this class.

Sad my prediction came true.
Dont like his mentality already. He's worried about limiting his carries in our offense as potentially the #1 guy. He doesnt want to be that guy like bc2 or Dono, or Jordan Marshall coming in wanting to assault people in our run game here at michigan. Mentality isnt there. Pass, next. Or you can play second fidel to Jordan and watch him go in the first round as a result.
