I don’t think that Sasha is going to win but I really wish that she manages to get gold :) Kamila is amazing and so are all the others, but I really hope that Sasha can make history and lands all five quads and hopefully the triple axel IF she even decides to go for it. Based off of everyone‘s performance this year, I think that Kamila is going to be first, but who knows.

I’m sure Kami is gonna win too. I’d say she has a 90%+ chance of gold. The only reason she doesn’t win would because of nerves/stress, mistakes in both short and free program and Sasha landing all/most of her quads. But we’ll never know until it happens :) I hope Sasha wins gold, but Kami also deserves it 100%.

Kamila has been the taking the gold all season but anything can happen in the Olympics. Sasha can definitely land all 5 quads, she did it in test skates so it’s possible, she’s going to need to skate clean to get close to gold. It’s going to take a miracle do her to land that 3a in the short program but I hope that miracle does happen. 🤞🤞🤞✌️

I think it would be silly to not have her do it. Kami by far has the highest scoring potential in the short. I don't see them having her do both programs for the team event, so I think they will sub in Sasha as Sasha has higher scoring potential than Anna in the long. Just what I would do when I look at it as a numbers game.

@@72586jejones but Anna has been more consistent with the fs ( she has more of a mental block with her sp). Choosing Sasha would be very high risk but very high gain. So I can see them going for Anna. really ideally I think rusfed wants kami to skate both the team event and fs because she's the only who's been consistent no both the sp and fs this season but there's no way she can do that, they need to save her for the individual event.

I mean Russia is getting 10 points for the short and free for the women regardless of who does what segment, but I agree with KV doing the short because her triple Axel is far more consistent than Sasha's and Anna doesn't have one. The only path to Russia not getting 10 for the women's short is if Sasha is given the short and falls on the 3A.

It looks like the podium will be all Rusia doesn't it? Man I still can't believe Kamila has this level of skill at 15. And I really like Sasha's jumps and Anna's overall performances.... So nice to have so many fabulous skaters to watch

the tutberidze coach works basically only during puberty… 13 to 17. after this age, they probably will retire from competitions.

@@melsduarte extremely tiring foreign whining about the retirement of Eteri's skaters after 18 years: Zhenya and Alina left not because of age or injuries, but because they could not learn the elements of ultra-c and lost in 2019 to the new generation of Tutbergirls without any chance - how times thereby Sasha, Anna + Aliona. but Sasha and Anna will soon be 18, they have kept their quads and are not going to go anywhere. for comparison, you can look at the former hope of the American FS Alysa Liu: why has her skating degraded so much, although she is only 16? Or is Eteri to blame here too?

That would be awesome. I'm with you. It's a taff dream. But miracles can happen and she have the possibilitys but she have to bring it together at least two times. Short and Free 100%. Like the ISU said in the last Insta post - "When you realize your toughest opponent is yourself, you become unstoppable" This Sasha did already. Camila! Because she's the perfect balance of technique and choreo. Sasha is great, but on the ice she only deals with technique, this is not enough for figure skating. Although if Sasha rolls out all her five quads, it will be a sensation, and I will applaud her, as well as Camila!

Климентий Ким балет - это балет, спектакль - это про театр, не надо приплетать к спорту то, что в него по определению не входит. Это в первую очередь про большие достижения, рекорды и «невозможное - возможно». Вы, видимо, попутали ледовую арену и театр, ну, со всеми бывает😌

What can I say? These skaters are all amazing. I love Loena Hendrickx, she is really a good performer, beautiful spins and transitions in her programs. I really admire Anya for her strenght, she is gorgeous, so brilliant. Kami is simply outstanding, I can believe she is 15 and can skate in that stunning way. I like that both Anya and Kami have great interpretation qualities, usually you can see that in more mature skaters as the age goes generally above 20-21. Great sense of music, also! Sasha is a nature's force, my gosh, she is definitely the Quad Queen. Truly deserved title! 😄 Wish all of them good luck. You rock, girls!

Beautiful, every single one of them.. so many young competitors, great rivalry between young Korean, European and Japanese skaters.. Still, Shcherbakova, in spite of being only 17y, has experienced a lot of though challenges and made it to the top, she's always under a lot of pressure, on ice and off ice especially if one's reading some deeply unethical comments (basically from frustrated fans worldwide), still: although looking so fragile, she is mentally such a powerful little lady and I hope she's ready to take the lead, again. Then my AleksandraTrusova should shine here, making history of ladies figure skating, along with breathtaking young Valieva who leaves us speechless every time she enter the ice. So, guess, they'll take home at least two if not all Olympic medals in Beijing. Let the Games start, can't wait!

@@Nika-ug7zs Согласна, что на ОИ фигуристки будут бороться по максимуму, но резких усложнениях я от них не жду. Таже Сакамото так и не выучила триксель, хотя понравилась она мне аж в сезоне 18/19. Не думаю, что она внезапно выдаст триксель в КП и пару квадов в ПП.

I am glad Sakamoto is included on this list because not since Midori Ito have we seen a female skater who jumps both up and OUT, with massive ice coverage

In the short program i don't think she can beat Kamila, she may have a chance in the free skate, but based on her consistency i don't even know if she can take silver, i would put Anna over Sasha.

Wish them all best luck, but I do hope that this year marks the reign of Kamila!!

I really want Sasha to win for skating as a sport, but Kamila has great esthetics, which makes me think again; how Sasha can win over her. It is up to Sasha on how she booked a great score and Kamila on her self-control.

Pcs sure tes no she can’t jump it’s ridiculous. She’s cheating her jumps, doing change of edges in between jumps while in combinations, underorates her jumps, pre rotates her jumps and uses full blade assistance and gets +3 and +4 in goe

Very probably. Since there are more Russian-rtained skaters than could be allowed i Olympics, The world's might show that MaiaKhomikh and another of two or three have a chance of filling out top FIVE. I was fearful that figure skating was going to devolve into an artistic-gymnastic type event with firepluggy bodies, suggesting inappropriate use of enhancements to develop musculature rather than line and elegant flow , but the essential training in ballet that is hardly evident by comparison in most other areas has possibly prevented that descent into unwatchability. One sees less distorted disfigurement in successful males as well. We look at Hanyu, Knodratiuk, Vasiliev of Latvia, and the efforts of Arutunian which made quad-expert Chen into watchable skater. We have a little insight into some of the Tutberidze triad of coach/choreographers, and more recently see the results of some others. I do wish Daria Usachev had not been injured. Injuries of anyone are so involved in psychological variations inescapable in life. (I have some experience and research backing this assertion). To the biased: Eteri is far more emotionally supportive than haters may understand. When one observes coaches of the most elite, this trait is clear. All the coaches of the named and a few others share this trait so necessary. This is not head-bashing "sport" or elbowing others to aggress one's way into victory.

На самом деле, девушек с невероятной растяжкой, вращающих бильман в шпагате, в мире сильно больше, чем стабильно прыгающих квады, но их мало кто знает именно потому что прыгать не научились. А Камила потому и крута, что может и то, и другое
