Top Walleye Tips for JULY (Spots & Baits)

Спорт

July walleye fishing doesn't need to be the start of the dreaded "dog days" of summer. Stay consistent this month by keeping in high-percentage areas of the lake and using presentations that work!

Great video Nick love this time of year pulling spinners and pulling cranks with lead-core! Going to also try drop shot if it isn’t to warm😁

Right on Brian! Dropshot is ridiculously effective. You won’t regret it.

Great tips, thanks! I am fairly new to warm water fishing, and would like to see a video where you show the basics of how you tie up these various rigs.. maybe a "3-5 combos to have tied up this month" video, with line/ leader/ swivel/ weight/ hook/ lure etc..

Good call Mike. I want to eventually cover every walleye tactic that I use super in-depth in different videos b

1/8oz jigs would be my best guess

Good info! Question...lost several fish yesterday setting the hook(Jig/crawler). They had it but when I set it, the jig pulled out. Shorten my crawler maybe? Don't set it so hard? Any help please. Thanks.

I haven’t talked about this much on camera yet (keep forgetting), but I always lunch off a chunk of crawler, so the length only goes a few inches behind the hook. Then, make sure to let them eat for at least two seconds before hitting them. If you use a full crawler, you’ll likely want to let them eat several seconds.

@@NickLindner Thanks! I did let one eat for a sec but it was nearly gut hooked :/ Finding that middle ground is next :)

Do you find yourself trolling not as much since livescope? FFS has been a great learning lesson that has changed the way I fish from when I was a young kid- especially for suspended fish! When I troll now, it's only at night!

I’m mostly in the same boat as you. FFS makes me troll way less. Nighttime is still in play.
