The reduction of Hamas is rational because of Hamas' commitment to ending Israel. It's similarly rational for Hamas to employ human shields and maintain a public relations campaign to obtain sympathy, even after October 7th. Both actions are rational in a callous, political paradigm. What the United States might have done and might still do is lean very hard on Egypt and even Cyprus to at least grant safe passage to Gazans seeking refuge elsewhere, where they could avoid famine and death. It doesn't seem very rational for Gazans who are not Hamas party members to keep their children in Gaza while this is going on.

NO, but it will discourage minorities and anyone new to the country from voting at all, especially refugees from the Middle East and Latin America even if they have valid citizenship. This ploy is a way of weaponizing the census so that struggling minorities will be out of the voting equation. Each swing state and gerrymandered district will seem a whole lot whiter when the poll results start coming in.

Summer Lee is right and the Government doesn't answer their phone in order to help voters, they refer them to their website, which is not always working. FVAC ... for US citiens living outside the USA ( i am one) doesn't answer their phone either , nor return messages. I know becasue I tried to file my special application as this type of voter online, unsucessfully and cannot vite either I do not think... deadline is July 20 for filing this appl.

the US has been flooded with over 13 million illegal immigrants that should NOT BE able to vote. it is necessary to validate citizenship of all voters to ensure a legitimate legal vote count. It should not be too difficult for the US to issue ID credentials to any legal citizens that do not currently have some form of validating ID..........

I don’t think having to prove citizenship will restrict minority US citizens from voting 🤷 if anything having election day on a weekday is much worse for civic engagement.
