Regarding 12V range - many brushed tools could be updated to brushless (like reciprocating saw, jigsaw, circular saw). Quick change lever would be welcome on a multi tool (12V green DIY tool has one). New 12V device ideas - stapler, rivet gun, hot glue gun, small rotary hammer, drywall router.

Question for you. Your expert range of carbide quick release hole saws comes in "tough" and "construction" can you tell me why they are different as they seem to be recommended for the same materials. Apart from the number of teeth what's the difference? Thanks

I see there are a lot of 12V tool fans, but sales probably show different picture, hence not a lot of action is going on in 12V range development.

Bosch has several tools that could be used in the Automotive trade. They are a major suppler of OEM Automotive parts with a good reputation. They even have high dollar shop diagnostic scanners. If Bosch had a 3/8 18V or 12v ratchet, they could make a good run at that trade. The cross marketing leverage would be simple.

It is a myth, and it has gotten to the point where Rohm (the people who make that very chuck) now have a warning in the manual not to do that.
