Top Things to do in Kolkata || India Travel Vlog

In this Kolkata Travel Vlog I check out some of the local markets, old British history, and fall in love with the local public transportation. Especially riding the antique tram, the vintage yellow cabs, and crossing the river on the ferry and then back over on foot via the Howrah Bridge.
To the far east of India, right on the border of Bangladesh is the former capital of the British East India, Kolkata. After a month of traveling central India, Kolkata felt like a completely different country. Regal architecture, bright yellow cabs, an antique tram line, and tree lined avenues with hazy skies made me feel like I was on the set of an old film. But despite its British influence, there were still hectic colorful markets that reminded me of the india I love. I had two days to spontaneously wander the metropolis, and here’s how it went…

You remember you had this shot of the closing sale of the antique shop in Park Street. Thanks for capturing it. I loved windows shoping there while strolling down the park street after a nice meel at Mocambo. About a month ago I went there again and saw this same sign up there. And I knew this was the I felt strangely attached to that place although I never talked to the shopkeeper or even bought anything there and now I knew it would soon turn into a hazzy memory like the Kolkata sky. But now that you have captured it in this one shot I can always come back to it. Thank you so much for preserving this memory for me.

A glorious city built by history...partly destroyed by the Brits because the capital got shifted ( 1911) and then the terrible partition( 1947) then Leftist led anti industry policies...34 years! Indeed it's almost become like a relic ...of course, it's very interesting in terms of heritage value...it can be revived...but requires political will...Glad u enjoyed my hometown's charms...cheers bro' ...fr Delhi

@@matgranger5061 Ridiculous response. When these idiots go to Eastern Europe or Vietnam or Middle East - is this how they react to decades old history? And New Town? Are you serious??! Thats not Calcutta. Thats BS real estate. Yuck. Old Calcutta where million philosophers and Poets and Artists and Nobel Laureates have lived and flourished is not good enough of a city for bothe of you? Historical cities are supposed to be old. Its our own flavour - instead of taking pride you are telling him nonsense data ?
