County Donegal is where the Wild Atlantic Way begins. Beaches, rock jumping, costal paths we have it all. There is a vast amount of coastline to explore and with limited time it can be difficult to choose where to start!
We are here to help. Ieuan and I are adventure-seeking water-loving adrenaline junkies and have summarised our TOP TEN FAVOURITE SPOTS on the Donegal coast for you to choose from.
On our list, we have beautiful beaches, breathtaking waterfalls, stunning viewpoints and exhilarating cliff jumping locations so there is definitely something for everyone. Some of the locations will you can park at and others require more time and a hike to get there.
Always remember the essentials .. Swimsuits and snacks! Remember that and you can't go far wrong

Great video....you missed some other Great beaches head south from dunfanaghy along coast just past gortahork....maharoaty beach crested C shape...head south on coast... three beach walk at lower glassagh leading to port Arthur beach.....bad Eddie beach bunbeg... beach at back of airport carraigh finn..cruit island...donegal has them all.....

I know I focus heaivly in 2 main areas. Maharoaty is beautiful, such a vast beach. Definitely a few you have listed I haven't been to you and I'll put them on my list 👏 thank you for the recommendations love discovering beautiful places in this county

Fantastic Donegal hotshots...don't forget Sliabh Liag or Bloody Foreland or Port Arthur Beach in Gweedore. Fanad Lighthouse too

I know the Gweedore area very well indeed, and yes the Bloody Foreland views & Port Arthur beach is excellent. but also there is Bunbeg beach with it's shipwreck. It has to be one of my favourite beaches having walked across it many times on my visits up there to beautiful Donegal. It's the best county in Ireland along with superb county Kerry in my opinion.
