Debt to the Deathless!! That's one of my personal favorites and a card I choose over Exsanguinate when possible. After a total mana value of six, Debt is better than Exsanguinate. Who's casting either of these spells for less than six mana?! DttD!!

honestly, it is such a dead card so fricking often. I want to like it, Ive got a friend who wants to like it, but we've never really played it impactfully before, usually it's a "win more" or "vainly try to forestall a loss".

I like starstorm, deals x damage to all creatures at instant speed.

I think Crackle With Power will become a card that we'll see pretty often.

I appreciate you did a "real" list and not just the cedh stuff like tutors and insta-win cards.

This is a good list but with the Mikaeus slot I might put Hangerback Walker. Can grow itself into a threat and is hard to deal with without leaving you an army of thopters. Mikaeus might have a more impactful pumping ability but the walkers ability to go in any deck is really nice.

No chord of calling?

Would you do a Karazikar deck tech? I think more people need to realize goad is now a legitimate strategy in commander now.

Shout out to Comet Storm, boring but it gets the job done most efficiently in Red, the fireball version of Exsanguinate. Pull from Tomorrow for being the best X card draw spell. Chord of Calling and Green Sun Zenith for also being very good. Reality Spasm doesn't really belong in this list but I love it and it is very combo-able, High Tide. Spell copies, etc and can be used defensively, politically, offensively. Super fun card. And my pet card call out: Nin the Pain Artist, not strictly an X spell but an X activated ability that I love.

Heliod's/Nylea's intervention, and Klauth's will are all pretty strong contenders for this list.

Finale of devastation is one of my wincons in ashaya, its fun

Definitely molten disaster should be on this list! Split second means no counter spells and/or Teferi's Protection/ Heroic Intervention!

I love pests, wish there were more cards for them

so a boardwipe..vs a double X spell that targets artifacts and enchantments..

Banefire better be on this list 😂

Well its a single target X spell. It's better for other formats. Sure you can banefire someone for infinite damage if you have infinite mana but if you got a walking ballista...you can just do that to everyone. Lol

@@justinanderson2631 you can also copy it and kill everyone at the same time 😂 and it can't be countered, walking ballista will get countered or killed right away or exiled in commander. Banefire is one of my favorite cards in Magic and people I play against don't like it either which is why I always find room for it 😂

I agree with most of these choices, but I will say that I don't understand all the hate against Torment of Hailfire & Exsanguinate....especially when compared to cards like Finale of Devastation, Villainous Wealth, etc. I don't understand why those cards are seen as fairer or more interesting than Torment. Finale is literally EVERYWHERE right now...from cedh to casual, it's how everyone is ending games if they've not ending them with thoracle. And there's no more interesting decision making going on with Finale than there is with Torment or anything. It's just craterhoof on a sorcery (but better, because you can grab craterhoof with it, lol).

No draw x cards? Commanders insight is definitely my go to for that category i play it kalamax so its usually at least +2 cards and since its an instant heheheh yeah fun pick

Bet you that Command Zone appearances bump his clicks and supporters, so he can afford to make MtG content instead of the rat race.

@@rule-of-three1483 that’s fine. I’ve just been watching/listening to the command zone before they had video and I just can’t stand these guest hosts. Jimmy and Josh don’t even do the podcast anymore. I literally only watch game knights now
