    Why should Soludo call them? Are they kids? Does one have to tell them to use their heads? Please nobody should call them. Anambra youths, especially those in African countries, are doing well, and with their hearts at home. All that is needed is to pray for Soludo to maintain his pace of work and leave the rest for the youthful Anambrarians doing businesses in different parts of the world. In the next 5 years, we will call results.

    Correction: Nnaeto Orazulike that owns Genesis is from Ozubulu, not Nnewi. Also Kene Mkparo sold Filmhouse. He is currently building a big theater in Nnewi under a new brand name. Soludo should make sure he does the maximum engagement with our business moguls and get their input before building any industrial complexes.

    So emzor still dey invest massively in the Yorubaland after the anti igbo protest that take place in her Lagos office, telling her to go to igboland and invest, yet she didn't learnt anything. Anything wey emzor see, make them take am like that. I am tired of defending senseless igbos who refused to learn.

    It is painful my brother. You should know that investments are made based on profits. To me what we should do is to provide the basics : power, security and skilled manpower, investors would come. For instance few years back South East was the safest zone in Nigeria until Biafran restoration madness started. If you were an investor would you put your money where non- state actors are preventing businesses from opening on Mondays? Please I want you to take a ride as if you are going to Agbor after Asaba, most factories you see on the left and right are meant for Anambra but due to Mondays sit-at-home they relocated to Delta state. Like Soludo would say "Onitsha died and resurrected in Asaba".

    South East governors contributes 50% why our people invest outside the region. Look at the standard of infrastructures been built in Anambra. If you develop infrastructures in your state up to higher standard, people will find it attractive to invest. Anambra has poor infrastructures despite having the highest number of manufacturers and billionaires. And the current government is not doing enough rather than building projects with the same pattern and standard used by his predecessors, and our state still remained what it used to be.

    My brother, you have a point, but there are reasons why our people are investing in the Southwest. Poor infrastructure is the first. After the war, the rulers of Nigeria strategically have worked against the Southeast. We don't have ports. The major seaports are in Lagos. Even if you ship to Onne port in Rivers state, the road between Port Harcourt and Aba is horrible. All these factors add costs and business risks. Lagos is attractive because of the size of the economy and its strong purchasing power. Our Southeast governments can change things by Conscientiously working on the infrastructure and security. Obiano did better at reaching out to the Anambra business community in Lagos and Abuja. Another reason for companies like Coscharis and Emzor locating in Lagos is that they want patronage from other ethnic groups. Yorubas patronize them because they provide jobs. They also get Igbo patronage because there is a massive Igbo population in Lagos.

    Fourthly, your term that Innoson motors is doing quite well is relative. It depends by what you mean by "doing so well". Sure, Innoson motors can have a revenue of ten billion naira annually, but it could be much more better. They could have had a revenue of fifty billion naira if he had also set up branches of his factory in the South South part of Nigeria after inking agreement with them that the condition for setting up manufacturing branches in the region is for the South South governments to only buy Innoson. As things stand, only "some" Southeast governors are patronizing him. Ebonyi, Enugu and Abia are not patronizing him. Otti recently started doing so though.

  • @longinusukenta

    Fifth, if Igbo businesses want to become billion dollar companies, they must scale all over Africa. If Igbos are afraid of setting up shop in other states of Nigeria, then they have no business being part of Nigeria. They must without delay initiate a process to extricate themselves out of Nigeria. It really doesn't work to be in Nigeria, but you are afraid to invest in Nigeria.

  • @longinusukenta

    @longinusukenta

    3 ай бұрын

    Sixth, it makes sense to set up your factory in the region with large markets. Lagos and Ogun economic axis is bigger than all the Southeast economy combined. It will be extremely dumb for an Igbo conglomerate not to set up shop there. There's one mantra that the Igbos repeat to themselves all the time which I consider very dumb. Some of them are saying that you set up shop in your house and you force your customers to come there and find you. That is laughable. You think everybody else in the world is a fool. If Igbos don't set up shop in commercial centers in Nigeria and West Africa, others would. If the Yoruba don't do it, the Chinese or the Lebanese would. It's an insult to others to presume that you are the only person capable of setting up a business.

  • @eaglei2143

    @eaglei2143

    It seems like you missed the whole point/context of the video in your replies. It's not about not having factories all over naija especially outside SE. It's about the lack of investment by those people in Anambra or SE in general according to him, both can be done at the same time esp when according to him we clearly know how tribalist, nepotistic and sectarian nigerian/ federal politics is. Making many policies ineffective. Unless you think this observation by him doesn't exist. We lack good legal culture in naija hence a govt can do and undo at a moments notice without consequences or proper consultation. This has happened numerous times to count. It's a job for everyone not waiting for the miracle state govt with little revenue. The innoson etc example he made is also valid. It's not about just profit as a reason in his argument.
