One classic hit from the pre-modern DCI days that I enjoy is the 2004 Madison Scouts closer. They play a loud hit, then reveal that half of them aren't even playing, then everyone else joins in for an even bigger hit.

I feel like halftime shows are so underrated. If you’ve never been in band/colorguard/dance team you have no idea how hard it is to not only learn the entire choreography, little they teach you mark by mark “ok you’re here… you right here” and it takes forever, meanwhile the band is learning the music in class, dancers are learning the dance in class and color guard is learning their routine in class. But then when it comes time to put it all together it’s not easy! Playing an instrument/dancing/throwing a flag all while running around, lots of times doing so backwards, it’s a lot of work but it’s also a lot of fun. I miss those days!

In the bluecoats 2017 clip is that Psychopomp? I know they've collaborated with Thank You Scientist before, but I didn't realize they used one of their songs in a show!

All fine but I also want to put some honorable mention votes in for The Cadets 2000 opener. The first big hit there gives me goosebumps every time. That and same year Vanguard's Adagio for Strings. Spine-tinglingly awesome.

(I know it’s your list) but imo Tilt too low SCV 2013 should be on there Bluecoats 2019 come together better than 2017 And Crown's 2016 opening hit is better than their 2017 one.

What is the name of the music SOI is playing in '93? Crown does the exact same in 2016, right? I would put the Crown 2016 opening hit very near the top for shear power and noise level! Rattled the bones of the stadium.

Go listen to Spirit of Atlanta 1978/79/80, Cavaliers 1980/1992, Madison 1975, and Muchachos 1975. Those weren’t just hits; those were full out punches in the chest.
