Topspin 5 is better than 4. 4’s ball physics are inaccurate and the short topspin shots were too precise and overpowered. Plus, the players stumbled too much on topspin 4. Topspin 5 is better

Nah top spin 4 is so much more cleaner. When I look at this video from a distance , 4 looks like a real match. 2k25 looks stiff , only thing Better are the graphics

The sound in ts4 is too loud tbf. Play the sound to someone without the visuals and they'll tell you it's basketball.

They made the same game 13 years later but now without Rafa and Nole. Congrats!

But if you pay 70€ for it they will probably make Topspin 2k26 a bit better and with PS4 graphics instead of PS3. So please show good will now! Also Sampras and Agassi are some of the top actual ATP players these days as everyone knows so please stop complaining. Djokovic is a joke, he doesn't exist (or maybe later for an extra 30€ DLC? 😊)

Remember when the best tennis game stopped releasing sequels? And we just got whatever you call TWT and AO tennis and a few other terrible games? I will reiterate how absolutely terrible those games were. If you’d prefer staying in that bleak reality, dont buy ts2k25. I’d rather get a new game despite it looking exactly the same as an old game for my ps5 because the alternative is absolute trash. I hope the next topspin is better, but for bow take my money

The speed of the gameplay seems a lot more realistic in the old version. The new one seems a slow motion version of tennis

Played Top Spin 4 yesterday night, continuing my old MyCarreer, and I really think it feels better, less cuts between animations, everything is more fluid... 2K25 got rushed and we can tell by the lack of attention to details, which was the strength of Top Spin 4...

business model changed a lot on tennis games. i bet topspin 2k25 was made quickly with big cost in license. Top spin 4 has better graphics and gameplay is fun. And old Virtual tennis 3 is good arcade game

I hope day one patch is going make shots more flat, with higher speed and longer in 2k25. The gameplay definitely lacks of dynamic, speed and shots that touches the baseline

@@jasontomica8938 No it's not... the player playing just sucks ass... his timing is godawful and he barely puts any power in his shots... so of course it's gonna be slow... plus the AI is obviously not at a top tier level... to judge the speed of the game you need to watch two players who are very good or at least someone who can take the AI at the highest difficulty...

@thefedhd1580 Exactly... also you need to make the ball just a tiny bit faster than TS4 on power shots but otherwise TS4 had very good ball speed to both be realistic and give the player enough time to both react and think his next shot...

it's something about low quality textures and the pronounce sounds of Topspin 4 that bring it together.

First thing I noticed is ball speed shows in Top Spin 4 but not in 2K5. Also, seems to me sound is a bit louder/crisper in Top Spin 4. If they don't have an audio listing of names possible for created players, then they should make Top Spin 4 for current consoles.

Top Spin 4 still the king of tennis games, for the consoles.

Virtua Tennis series which is amazing gameplay wise such an addictive series could play it for hours.

BALL SPEED IS WAY TO SLOW ON 2K25, WTH IS GOING ON, THE SERVE IS SO SLOW ALSO????

Another thing I noticed is moving along in Career mode is easier in Top Spin 4, especially for beginners.

Which one should I get. £65 for 2k25 or £1 from CEX for 4. Tough choice.

I need to say that i don’t understand how the 3 previous top spin games (top spin 2, 3 and 4) had beter graphics, physics, body language, sound and graphic design off ball shots??? I mean thank god for at least this much, because we didn’t have good tennis game for over a decade… But, still, this makes me a little sad.

Top Spin 4 appears to be superior. The reason is the sound of the ball, the speed of the ball and the form.

Sur ce que je vois c'est le même jeu que top spin 4 , mais juste moins bien, que ce soit graphiquement, au niveau du roster je t'en parle même pas, et les cris de singes, non c'est pas sérieux tout ça. On est quand même en 2025, la PS3 envoie la Ps5 à la poubelle😢

I dont know if you got my point in here, I am just noticed that in TS2k25, players specially Alcaraz in some point are not trying to hit a far ball while in TS4 either player are constantly reaching for the far ball to hit. I am just thinking that maybe the setting of the TS2k25 needs to be a step higher so the players will always try to reach far balls. Thats it, I like the video and still like both TS. .

@@takeyourtime3328 Well, if you suck as a player (and this guy does suck) you don't hit the ball very hard and also your timing is meh so the ball goes slow... the devs did say that they wanted to boost perfect shots... so in this new game highly skilled players will have a bigger skill gap against mediocre players and that's how it should be... I was a top 0.1% worldwide player in FIFA back in 2013 to 2015 and if I played against a Division 5 player (mediocre) I would massacre him 10+ to nothing... that's how it should be... in today's FIFA these same players do muuuuch better cause the skill gap is nothing these days as everything is "assisted" which means the game plays for you... Anyway... if you see two top tier players play this game is not slow at all... but this guy is barely a mediocre player... not even close to good or great...

Top Spin 2K5 is alright, but Top Spin overall is to me a better experience. Thus, I went and got a PS3 Super Slim and a few brand new sealed Top Spin 4's to help with my anxiety level.

When we need a remaster/port we get a new game, when we need a new game we get a remaster. Sods law. Glad I had the foresight to check online reviews before buying 😥 condolences to those that didn't.

Unacceptable that the actual game made 13 years after the previous one is worse, absolutely unacceptable. I loved so much TS4 and was wondering on buying the 2k25, I gave up fellas, I'll try to get TS4 again instead

Top Spin 4 was so much better, just listen to the game sounds, the way it sounds when the ball is hit. The new game has lousy sounds, everything is muffled. I liked the movement and graphics better too. I wish they would have just remastered the old game.

Not different, only better graphic . But still want to play

So, I deactivated all the bars and visual indicators. And then, you no longer concentrate on a gauge bar, you just look at the ball, your player and when to hit it like on a real court... it's 100x more enjoyable. Your timings are less good at first, but little by little everything becomes more logical and fluid, you hit the ball better and better while having more fun. Online, there should be a mode where all visual aids are deactivated, to have real tennis game, with human imperfections.

Looks so awkward when they stand there flat footed waiting to hit a groundstroke

La seule chose meilleure dans top spin 2k25 c'est le son. Le gameplay est à la hauteur aussi. Gros soucis, le roster, les graphismes, bien que moi je m'en fou. Par contre le fait qu'il n'y ai pas les traces sur terre battue en 2024, c'est moyen.

Clairement Top Spin 4 m'apparaît meilleur, en tout. Vitesse de jeu, réalisme du bruit des pas, transpiration... Cette mouture 2k25 fait tout plus lentement apparemment. Mais le comble de l'exagération ce sont ces cris poussifs d'Alcaraz rien que pour un slice... Même un tennis elbow 4 ou Full Ace sont plus cohérents en terme de reproduction des caractéristiques des joueurs. Plus on avance, plus les développeurs se foutent de la gueule des gens, pognon quand tu nous tiens.

@@jackfeinster2933 No, it's not... shots have a bit more realistic ball drop... it's not much of a difference but it's there... plus the devs literally said they're slightly improving the Top Spin 4 formula... they never said their new game would be massively different... they made a good game and they're respecting that game... which is good unless you're stupid and you wanna re-invent the wheel every day... when FIFA was the best football game of all time back in 2013-2015 the key was that it respected it's gameplay and every year they changed only tiny tiny little things... the players were whining about how it was stale and the same... and then the devs changed it up and fucked up everything and now it's a joke of a game... when you have a good product you don't change the whole thing... you're stupid if you do...

OMG, TS4 has better animations, player motion and sounds!! Just some slightly better graphic details in TS5, see the court, but not graphics of the characters. The gameplay looks the same. That's weird! After 13 years you would improve game intelligence to have some more rich gameplay and unlikely situations, just like in real tennis. See the odd shots in many youtube archive videos. Plus, many complain about invasive in-game purchases in TS5 and mandatory on-line connection. All reviewers give TS5 ratings way lower than TS4.

Wow. Top Spin 4 looks way more fluid and natural. Top Spin 5 has a cartoon look to it, the rectangle indicator instead of the circle is too distracting and the grunts are repetitive, unrealistic and gross.

4 is obvious better

Very bad player 2K5. Graphisms a bit better in 13 years ! What a shame ! But anyway i never played TS4 because i'm a PC player and i refused to buy a PS4 only for 1 game. So thank you 2K for this game on PC ^^ They should do the same with EA and UFC5

To be honest, it's ridiculous, nonsense, and a provocation to the tennis game audience after waiting 13 years for them to release a tennis game at least of the same quality as NBA, PES, or even FIFA! 1- The gameplay is not better than the previous game released in 2011! 2- The graphics are bad and not realistic (especially Roger Federer) as if it's a game released in 2014, not 2024! The shape of the bodies, their movement, and the footwork, all of this is not good, and the ball is very slow, especially in the serve or perfect high power shots. The smash takes maybe more than a second to win the point, while in reality, the shot is over and the point is won in a fraction of a second! 3- There are many missing players, which is a shameful and fatal flaw. At the very least, the top 25 ranked men and the top 25 ranked women should be included, in addition to 25 retired stars and legends, and 25 retired female stars and legends! The NBA game has hundreds of players, stars, and legends, and each special star has more than one version, and teams like the Chicago Bulls, Celtics, or Lakers have more than one version. So why doesn't the company show half this interest in a tennis game as it does in a basketball game? 4- The issue of repetitive and unrealistic tournaments and awards is also ridiculous, annoying, and boring. Are they incapable of caring about this stuff? Or are they truly developers who are not specialized in sports, and tennis in particular, and all they did was build the game on the foundations of Top Spin 4 and make it worse in the end! 5- The issue of making, developing, and training the player is also not as good as the NBA game, and the weak value of the (VC) awards to make us have to pay a lot of money to develop and buy things it is laughable. When you want me to pay you, you should provide a service worth the money, and not ask me for more for nothing! 6- I hope that a new company will develop and release a respectable game that is at least affiliated with the Tennis Federation, and has all the licenses, tournaments, logos, clothing, and accessories, and includes all the players we love, the legends, and the new talents. Shame on 2K for what they offer us; this is more like a free game, not a game priced at 70+ dollars and 120 dollars!

People these days are retarded... if you watch the video you easily see that all the animations are way better... not just Federer... but of course this is 2024... gamers only shit on everything cause whining is "cool" these days and never give any valuable feedback to devs cause all they do is complain about everything so the devs most of the time can't even tell which parts of the game are bad since according to their audience "everything is bad"... and of course players never offer an idea... only say "it sucks"... well, how can we make it better genius???
