Love picking on Harleys with the Goldwing !!

I just bought a 2008 this last summer. Just last week had an open road on interstate (no vehicles to pass), I hit 127 per GPS and was not at full throttle. I've been at 120 a few times. Have an 80 mile ride each way to work; very few days don't hit triple digits 2-3 times. There was no wobbling at all. My wife and I had a 2003 years ago. We hit 138 back then and no wobble. If you have wobble, there is something not right with the GL1800. Lewis

I've owned four GL1800's. ('03, '08, and two '13's) The speedometers were notoriously inaccurate until about 2010. You say 127 by GPS and not even wide open. But 138 MPH or KMH? I've had all these bikes WFO and maxed out more than a few times. My experience is 125-127 on level ground (by GPS) But 138 MPH? What did you do to it for this much improvement? I'd pay to know!

Scooters are cool. The yamaha xmax does 85 mph, that's a speed that some 6 speed motorcycles can't reach. So who's the slow poke now?

Nice run, do that on a full goldwing and wind turbulence will cause huge wobble,,,try it at your peril.

The gold ring does not wobble at high speeds and this is not the top speed.

What is the Honda Goldwing's performance like on the road? If the "Goldwing DCT Tour Airbag" with a single rider on a level road is cruising at a constant 140km/h (86.9mph) in top gear (7th), what would is engine speed be (how much engine rpm)?

1.8-2.2k somewhere around there. it tops out at 4.2 with a soft limiter at 180 kph. so there is more to be had, but honda does not want that.

Yep Even thoug no wind is possible Just edit the sound track in the video. Then you can add and hear a bird singing if you please.

Let me reiterate it: "Top Speed Run on the Honda GoldWing F6B. 124.02 MPH on the GPS. Engine was on the soft-Rev Limiter."

@@kennethanway7979 :38 Elapsed Time of the Video shows the Top Speed (Look above the Instrument Cluster at the GPS on my Phone). No taming it down, that's all she had before the Rev Limiter started kicking in.

At the :38 Second Elapsed Time of the Video. Look at the GPS on the Phone Screen, the Top Speed is shown in the lower Left corner.
