I love buying Benchmade's half off on the secondary market.

Good job elaborating.

I’m sorry, but the fit, finish and sharpness of Case knives has really been slipping the past few years. I’ve seen better quality from Rough Riders lately.

Damn case told me at bladeshow they would probably never make the sea dragon again. Wish it didn't have that ugly Christmas logo on there.

Kinda sad knowing Benchmade is 2nd Overall considering their pricing is absolutely obsurd. So many better USA made knives that cost much less or the same price with much better quality. It just goes to show you how the majority of knife buyers have no idea what they are spending their money on.

Sounds like the marketing lies are working. I remember when American made meant affordable quality. Not add a extra $100 because people love their country.

​@@SMKWcom I think you missed the point. Stating that these results are based only on sales does not discredit their comment. You just proved their point if anything. I will only speak on Benchmade, their quality and materials are extremely lacking when compared to other USA made knives similarly priced. With the shear volume that Benchmade is producing, they have absolutely no reason to charge the prices they currently do. They are charging similar prices as custom knifemakers making small batches of phenomenal knives with far superior materials and quality. Sad to see knowing how hard people work for every dollar nowadays. BM needs a reality check.

I'm surprised people are still buying Benchmade with the prices they're asking now. They used to be worth the $. I think it's just people being creatures of habit and feeling comfortable not risking money on something new. The reputation and quality used to justify the price. Too many makers that give a better value and higher build quality. They're even downgrading steel while they go up in price. It's a bummer.

Benchmade, no thanks. I would buy a crkt before I buy a benchmade. At least when the crkt falls apart I won’t be to disappointed. I hade three benchmade knives fall apart on me. The contego, griptilian and freek. Benchmade is the only knives that broke on me.
