There is a prototype of Julie’s og meet outfit with her having a purple jumpsuit and white blouse. It had red shoes I believe but it is def an interesting outfit.

im fully convinced that someone just put elizabeth in julies meet outfit…. like that’s quite literally Elizabeth Cole methinks….. i know that lil binch from anywhere!!!!!

Hi, I remember an ag podcast that talked about kit and that pleasant Roland wanted kit to be a part of the original 3 dolls back in 1986 along with I believe Felicity and I think addy too.

I never knew that! I do know that in the beginning they were only able to get wigs with bangs from Götz though. Maybe that’s why Samantha, Molly, and Kirsten were picked?

Loved Mary Ellen’s prototype outfits! 😍 May have to try and replicate those 😉 Götz is pronounced in German like gutz! 😅 Took the language courses in High School ❤ it’s the umlaut, the two dots, above the o that changes the sound 😊 Another wonderful video! 💗🫶

Damn, I wish Mia would’ve been black, like the prototype. As a figure skater myself, there is such a lack of representation for black and brown skaters (as well as the huge barrier to entry based on the expenses).

I remember learning about the lack of representation of minorities in skating and hockey in my Anthropology classes, so it would have been very impactful!

I have watched this video like three times in the past 2 weeks. It's so entertaining, and I love it so much! I love hearing about prototype dolls!

I remember those Maryellen prototypes. Which kinda reminds me. Since her books could be read as three in one like the other girls before her while Melody and the girls released after her read as one in one, do you think it was possible Maryellen had been in production long before the decision on Beforever was made?

I know the exact image you’re speaking of. It’s in the ultimate visual guide when they’re talking about like the development of different characters.

the kaya prototype is in a recent rainbowunicorncat11 video but i cant think of which one!!

I’ve never seen photos so idk how true it is but two things about prototypes I’ve heard is Kirsten was supposed to have green eyes and Molly was supposed to have blue eyes but they couldn’t get the green eyes to work properly so they gave Kirsten Blue eyes and changed Molly’s to grey but idk how true that is, another thing I heard is Kit’s prototype meet outfit was supposed to be her outfit and she was supposed to release in fall 1999 but when Mattel took over in 1998 they wanted to change Kit and then release her in release till fall 2000 but idk how true that is either

Gotz dolls were also sold in good quality doll shops and to[ of the line department stores because I punched my first in 1984 at ZCMI in Idaho Falls Idaho.

I have the Nellie prototype and a concept doll of Elizabeth.

Kit with curly hair is cute, but would easily become a real mess for a young owner, in my opinion

It is defiantly something AG considers, they have discontinued dolls before for being too difficult to take care of.

So what I saw is samantha and Mary grace were supposed too be sisters or friends? There names were lassie and Lilly ps don't blame me if it's wrong blame google it's wrong
