I differ from your opinion. If your argument is right bjp should have won more than 325 seats. Over the period Modi has cultivated a vote bank of 40 percent in UP which includes Hindutva .His aggressive campaign only helped him to retain bjp's vote bank intact and avoided the erosion of votes to SP.
