Thank you. I feel like postpartum struggles affect so many people but so few talk about it!

Your channel is still a top favourite for me ❤ I mostly love your reflections about the garments you made. Plus, the colours and patterns you choose are inspiring!

Beautiful makes, green really is your colour especially those darker shades 😊 Perfectionism can be a real kill-joy with sewing. The fashion industry uses so many specialised machines, making ready to wear garments look perfect but in reality nobody will ever get 100% perfect and that's fine. I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that nobody else notices our mistakes 😉 Thanks for sharing

I really appreciate you sharing how perfection can be a thief of joy. I sewed with velvet this year and gave myself so much compassion and leeway, knowing it would be a difficult fabric to work with and then wondered why I didn’t do that for all my projects.

Excited to see your take on this video. I really appreciated hearing why these makes had an impact on you. Thanks for sharing your personal journey with battling perfectionism. I do think that more refashioning has helped me with that, myself. Looking forward to seeing what you create in 2024!

Hi Bri, great makes!!!! I really like your channel/videos, it is nice to see younger sewers. This means that our craft is still alive and thriving 😊😊. Thank you for a great video 😊😊💞💞

Hi Bri, a most enjoyable video 😊. I have certainly had a few fails where the fabric is disappointing - especially when you consider the time involved in making the garment. My favourite make of the year was the Love Notions Harmony blouse. This is such a simple pattern and they can often be the most difficult to sew as any fit issues are super obvious. I made up several long sleeve versions (where I merged the long sleeve from LN Rhapsody blouse). I made them up in a viscose fabric and I just love the way they both fall, also they are very comfortable. Your black and white check skirt is a wonderful skirt - it looks fabulous with the green Patina blouse and the bright green tee. A really great foundation piece for your wardrobe. 🌸

So true about the simplest patterns sometimes being the toughest. Harmony is such a nice blouse and Rhapsody has been on my list for ages!

This was fun to watch! Well, except that the green SW Meg landed in your flop pile. I love and made Meg because of you, so I'd hate to see this one get tossed. I hope you can come up with a way to save it, but I also understand that not everything is a winner. How does Joyce feel about green dresses? LOL! I also really admire that you stick to your refashioning/mending plans. I set things aside and 5 years later ...

Your Meg dress is so pretty! I have a few more Megs planned, but I’m being a little more intentional of how I pair the pattern with certain fabrics. Haha, I only started actually refashioning this year. I definitely have items in my “doom box” that have been there 5+ years.

I just want to say I love your videos!!! My best make last year was the Rosalie skirt by Peppermint Patterns and I failed miserably making a new look pattern for denim pants with zip fly , I will stick to skirts and dressed and things with elasticated waist

So sorry about that cardigan! It's a beautiful colour. I wondered if you might try it as one of your refashions, it might be possible to cut down the facing to, say, an inch, and fold it under to stich down so it's more like a hidden bias binding?

I considered a few possibilities but ultimately the fabric was really frustrating and sometimes the best thing is to let something go. Generally I try to be conscious of waste, but in this case I’m taking it as a learning experience and moving on!
