Nice to see some love given to the Liberos because serving and passing wins matches and Liberos are the corner stone of a good passing game.

@@abigailshaffer1530 I can't speak for any other Nebraska fans but Maloney, Wong-Orantes and Banwarth are among some of my all-time favorites. Keep up the good work.

@@vergyltantor3211 Maloney was great, in my opinion knuckles has the potential to be greater but Maloney was overall an amazing athlete, being athletic not just volleyball aspect!

@@abigailshaffer1530 I agree that Knuckles has great potential but is a Sophomore and I will wait until she graduates before placing her on my list of great Husker Liberos.

@@abigailshaffer1530 I think knuckles is going to get replaced next year. They have the number 1 libero for class of 2021. And knuckles has been struggling in her serve receive and is not even on the top ten list for digs per set. Nicklin is outdigging her and Lexi isn’t too far behind. She’s has got to step it up.
good to see liberos being featured! But they are definitely missing out on the baylor libero, she is phenomenal and does not get enough credit, love all these girls tho!!!

@@phoebedavin she’s an outside that plays offense and defense, she could/should have easily received both. Especially since there are multiple Middle Blockers that got defensive player of the week for their play at the net.

Can someone explain the rules in american on how the libero can serve?

They can serve for one player throughout the match and can’t switch the player that they serve for during a game. For example, if there are two middles on a team, the libero can serve for middle #1, but can’t serve for middle #2 until the next match starts

Umm she probably wouldn't qualify for this list since she retired her collegiate career in 2016.

@@blickblick7723 Because defense and passing aren't necessarily the same thing. Let's not forget that middles often win defensive player of the year for their blocking, and they don't pass at all.

@@blickblick7723 That is incorrect. In the Big Ten, they have "Defensive Player of the Year." It often goes to a libero, but it can also go to a middle. Haleigh Washington won 3 years ago for her superb blocking.

No they’re not. Morgan Is back libero in 2021. She had got covid and so they allowed Iosia to play the last 2 games to not put Morgan in a rush feeling so when coming by back.
