I love the fact that you don't just push one brand or anything like that. The fact that you help show that you can go cheaper on certain things. Great videos and hope to see more. Thanks for all the help you give me with tips, tricks, and just useful info.

Thanks for starting with safety and as someone contemplating this type a purchase being able to think about other potential costs on the front end (or later) is super helpful 👍🏼.

Lots of great information here guys! I’d also say some sort of flag/reflector/light if you’re on a body of water with larger craft. It can be as simple as a reflector from the hardware store and cheap bright flag, one that’s homemade, or one you can get from yakattack.

For anyone going out in cold weather conditions, follow the 120 rule. If the air and water temps are below 120ºf combined, wear a drysuit! Hypothermia is no joke and will set in within minutes at those temps if you end up in the drink. Plus, with all those layers soaking wet a quick reentry will be impeded and also act like a heat sink. As hypothermia starts to shunts blood flow from appendages to try to keep your core warm, lack of coordination and confusion sets in, and ultimately lead to loss of consciousness and/or death. Far too many small craft anglers die each year because of this.

Do you like the 360 or do you miss the 180? Any problems with the 360? Good video.

The 360 is better in a lot of ways, but the drive is unreliable and so is the company long term.

Hobie probably won’t be around too much longer, the new owner Taso Sofikitis owns Maynard’s which specializes in breaking down companies and selling their equipment. They already closed the Hobie manufacturing plant in France and sold all their equipment. Taso lives in my area (metro Detroit)
