I second this! First-time dad at the end of August, needed this!

My recommendation to anyone considering the Nuna Pipa, would be to go to a store, and try to install it into your car first before purchasing it. Highly likely that in order to get the right angle, you will have to use a rolled up towel. (Personally this looked beyond ridiculous, and I’m dumbfounded as to how a rolled towel which is supposedly allowed based on what the manual says, could be safer than actually using the load leg). Got to love the government guidelines. Anyways, the carseat itself was wonderful (used it for our second born.) The installation was beyond ridiculous looking, and did not seem safe even after following what the manual said.

I have peg perego Lounge - the best there is. It beats uppa baby mesa for sure. Peachy color is beautiful

Why is there no load leg on the pipa base in Canada?

Hello! Great Q. We aren't sure why -- but Nuna has this statement about the load leg on their website. "Why don't the PIPA and PIPA lite car seat bases have a load leg?" In Canada the PIPA and PIPA lite bases do not have a stability leg/ load leg. The PIPA models went through rigorous Canadian compliance testing and changes had to be made to the units for them to comply to CMVSS 213, 213.1.

Do you have pipa aire or pipa rx? Thank you!

A lot of people are talking about how Mesa seats have chin to chest issue for infants and it can cause positional asphyxiation. What's your take on that?

If a customer has any concerns, they may wish to contact UPPAbaby Customer Service, they can help visually review an install and infant's position in the seat This is a great example of why we always encourage friends to read their car seat manual and vehicle manual. For ALL infant car seats, ensuring you are getting the proper install angle and that baby is properly positioned in the seat is very important to ensuring their airways remain clear.
