This was such a cool mission. The moment you come out of the ravine and start opening fire on the base, it was great.

I like that they have spotlights on daytime.....and that nobody heared a freaking jetfighter flying pass them in a canyon(the sound would be multiplied by the rocks)

I habitually fly full burner. So having experience from Ace Combat 04 onward for canyon runs and weaving through flak on full burn isn't too rough on me. I got the challenge even after letting off burner and did it at night in an f22. Didn't keep the movie altitude restrictions. Talking about the in game time challenge

I thought that Top Gun was inspired by Ace Combat, as this kind of mission is already there from early edition... as long as I remember, there's a canyon mission on Ace Combat 5 that you have to stay low in the canyon as there's a swarm of SAMs above ready to take you down

It's a kulbit maneuver, you can find a real jet doing that, especially super maneuverable su-27 and their updated variants 🤭

i did it with a f-22 Raptor at 2000, but it was a struggle.

Been trying it on Microsoft flight sim for weeks. Now absolutely fucking impossible 🤣

Went above 100m. Sam locked on, radar has spotted you, you're dead.

The movie should have been called Ace Combat Maverick considering it had nothing to do with Top Gun and was just a remake of the last mission in Ace Combat 6.

i really want namco to make a third/first person shooter set in the strangereal universe where you are an imfantryman watching partakimg on the same missions as the aces of ace combat. seeimg the aces fight over farbanti liberate Directus. take down the last enemy stronghold in south belka along the yuktobanian soldiers who fought against you. this base itself. those would be amazing missions to partake.

Okay, first off, I've been trying to beat this level for 2 months now, and have not been able to. But apparently the trick is to fly the canyon at full speed. Second how do you switch from night time to daylight? And are you using a mouse and keyboard, controller stick, or a flight joystick?

It can’t be that hard to pass through it right? Just regulate speeds enough so you don’t smash into the rocks, abuse some high G movement (please don’t overdo it), and it should be a breeze. I did the mission multiple times with slow and A/B speeds with an F-22A, F-35C and F-15E Strike Eagle. P.S. I play on my PS4 so I use a controller.

PSM it's in the base game only some planes can do it and you need to at a certain speed

Yeah now do it like Maverick… Cockpit view only, Hotas and good to go haha. Idk I only play as if I’m the pilot 😂 This was good to watch, did well!

This is one of the few missions I don’t feel like replaying because of that stupid canyon😭

can't slow down. and i've tried it many times. but atleast you tried. i can't even get there within 2 minutes 15 seconds or whatever the time was in the movie. holy crap it's hard going low altitude flying atleast a high speed without slowing down. i crashed and burned every time. if you can keep trying and go full speed and don't slow down. lol. good luck. i can't do it. but i know you can.

This was actually pretty easy going top speed

Been playing Ace Combat: Joint Assault. Try doing this mission with a Boeing 747 Lol. :P

Ah this mission. The trick here is to fly just a shy 100 more speed from stall, and speed up fast when it's straight and clear. The only tricky part is how good is your pc? Mine is below this game's minimum requirement, so my game would drop frames at the worst time.
