People- please take into account your natural eye color before choosing. Fonze has very dark brown eyes naturally. Mine are medium brown. I purchased Hidrocor IPanema as they look gorgeous on him. However on me they looked so bright and zombie like that I had to throw them out! 😥. Your natural eye color can make a huge difference! Now I’m wondering if Jade also may be too bright or light for me.

AirOptix green color looked good on me (medium/dark brown eyes), but I couldn’t see well out of them because they don’t make toric lenses. I just ordered Solotica jade lenses. I hope they don’t look fake on me. I looked awful in grey and blue AirOptix lenses. I am too dark to get away with them.

Kinda the same happened to me, I have medium brown eyes with a lot of green In them and a fair completion and the ipanema lenses were a little lighter on me it still looked ok I guess but the big problem I had with these lenses is that weird bug eye effect where it looks like your eyes are looking different directions or just uneven and weird, pretty sure it’s because I have an astigmatism in both eyes so I did have to order the astigmatism lenses, pay way more, and wait 2 months to get them…so it was really disappointing. So if your eyes are like mine really take that into consideration before wasting your money like I did. I’ve watched a lot of reviews and I think I’m going to try the hidrocor aquamarine or the rio buzios the pupil hole in those combined with the more subtle color I think they won’t have that effect.

@@thesnorlax8831 it’s because some of your dark iris shows from the pupil hole, and depending on how the contact is sitting on your eye, it can blend w your pupil and make it look like your eyes are slightly looking two different ways

@@peanutoreo8052 the buzios lenses are gorgeous, and they’d make a really natural, beautiful green color on a medium/light brown eye. I have almost black eyes, and the ipanema look ridiculous on me, too. Idk how he pulls so many off. Even Mel looked too light on me.

I've ordered Solotica Hidrocor Buzios. My natural eye color is preety much like Avela I guess. So it blends so well in my case, but I gotta say it look like a light green-ish eye color now cuz mine ones ain't dark.

I just ordered my buzio by solitica and my fonesta by anesthesia 😍

I have naturally green eyes that change color depending on my mood, sometimes they're olive green, other times like emerald green which is my favorite but it only happens when I'm emotional or crying. They change from dark to light green depending on what I wear as well. I'd like for them to stay a more emerald green but I haven't been able to find a color or brand that carries what I want. Most people lean toward lighter-colored eyes while I think a darker suits me better.

I have Fonesta. They are the most natural looking lenses ive owned in real life, even more than solotica mels which i have owned. They blend very well with my dark brown eyes and they have a small pupil hole.

Are they comfortable? I used hidrocor Búzios and they are very uncomfortable.

My eye colour is similar to yours and following your advise I got the Fonesta right at the beginning of quarantaine, now that we've been back to a more normal life I've worn it a couple of times and even some friends were puzzled and couldn't tell what was different until they noted the eyes but really emphasising how natural they look. I'm not sure about strangers because you became self conscience and naturally presume that everyone can tell you're wearing contact but I had this girl approach me and saying that my eyes were beautiful and then ask me if my eyes were real? The fact that she was in doubt really tells how realistic those contacts are. I'm kinda tempted to buy Búzios as well, do you think it's worth it, when you mentioned that Fonesta is the most natural looking?

Buzios is probably the best green contact ever created.

Felix Oliveira - I have medium brown eyes so they work great for me but I have seen them in darker eyes and they’re still pretty just not as noticeable

I was about to get Jade, but then got Fonesta. I own both Fonesta and Buzios now. I am not sure why, but I can’t find myself to get used to Fonesta, they kind of look fake on me. :( Maybe because I was so used to Buzios, or they aren’t all made the same as mine look zombie-like.

MissMagicPiano I actually felt the exact same way when I started using the Fonesta but I feel it’s because Buzios are so subtle and feathered in comparison to Fonesta that are more Solid in color and the pupil hole is not feathered at all. I did get used to them and got a lot of compliments on my eyes while wearing them more than Buzios but again Buzios are so subtle. Buzios still remain my favorite and #1. My Fonestas just aged out and I ordered the Buzios again and am currently using only Buzios

Another great video Fonz!!! My personal favorite green lens right now are Solotica Hidrocor Ambar and Buzios...they look soooo natural and blend so well with my dark brown eyes. It's crazy because before last year's opacity I loved Mel over the Ambars and now it's the complete opposite.

Thank you so much for this up to date review in 2020! I unfortunately am not a fan of blue contacts on myself personally, but I love GREEN! Right now I have the Hydrocor Mel, and they are a classic. I got them because they safely look good on anyone. But I have been wanting something different. I recently purchased Topazio, but it is much more blue than I expected. I believe I will try Epanima next because I am afraid of the brightness of Quartzo. But I have always wanted a color like Quartzo, but have been afraid it will not look right on me, so thank you for presenting Epanima I also watched your comprison between Quartzo and Epanima and it REALLY helped! So thanks again for the awesome reviews!!

For ppl that have good eye sight, do they need to add "power" on their contacts?

Solotica offer very good looking natural colors. Too bad that the oxygen transmissibility is 11.25 Dk/t that means that they don’t offer a good oxygenation to your eyes. Is very important to know that your cornea is an avascular tissue which means that it doesn’t have blood vessel’s. So because of that the cornea need to have oxygen from the environment in order for the cells to function properly. If you don’t have a good oxygenation in your eyes, you can develop very bad conditions that can put your eyes in risk. That why I don’t use Solotica or any other type of lenses that are not FDA approved. I’m a health professional and I always use the best for my eye health and the patients. For a lens to be at least good for oxygen transmissibility it needs to have at least a Dk/t = 20 and for maximum transmissibility need to have a Dk/t> 100. Solotica has great colors but sadly the material that are made are low quality. Remember always check for the Dk/t when you buy contacts, you only have two eyes and please take care of them!

What about anestesia lenses? Are they good/healthy?

Ive been using Solotica for more than 7 years and they're gorgeous lenses. The only issue I have with them is their opacity's never consistent. I used to love Ochre then they started to look bug eye/fake. So I settled for Avela, then they got darker and at times look bug eye as well. A few months ago I decided to buy the monthly Ambars and it looked so realistic I kept saying WOW. Reordered this twice and the opacity's never the same. They look fake and cheap 😩

Solotica 2016 batch was the most natural. Now they make textured almost reptilish looking lenses. I wish they go back to the very natural lenses with extremely tight pupil holes.

Fonesta and the Ipanema. But also Buzios. I think I’d buy all 3 of those. They all look great. Why choose only one? Lol.

The Natural Colors has a limbal ring, it is a little less intense than hidrocharme but still very visible

Hi Fonz, Great video! Can you tell me in your opinion from the anesthesia line the most natural green contacts I'm contemplating between the Fonesta, Arena or Lima. The lima Im not to keen on the limb ring as I think it looks fake in my opinion but not sure...Or if you know of another brand that has natural green. I'm not keen on solotica as my eyes tend to hurt after a few hrs. Please let me know. Thanks!

Solótica Aquarella Sea Green on dark eyes : just dont. Believe me. I got them. Yes confortable but arent natural at all... barely change anything in the eye.

Finally a new one

I bought Solotica Safira and absolutely hated them! Addict blue is half the price and way prettier! super natural and look great on olive skin!

These are beautiful! I'm tempted to buy fonesta now! Also, have you tried Siesta Cloud Green? I find that those are the most natural greens I've ever worn.

I can't find many reviews about green contacts on naturally light green eyes. I have bought the Anesthesia Gris, Solotica Quartzo and Solotica Esmerlada. I LOVED the light green color of the OLD Solotica Rio Ipanema but they changed it. Boo. The Gris and Quartzo are great color wise but the iris diameter looks funky. The lens look like they are protruding off my eyeball...why is that and how can I find ones that are super light green for light green eyes?

Hey Fonz! I just bought some Anesthesia contacts and I would really like to see you do a contact care video. As you know they last 3-6 months but my question is, how do you know when a contact is done/finished. How do I get maximum usage out of them. What if I'm only wearing them occasionally? Etc would love to see a video on that! Or an Instagram story? You got Instagram?

They will feel less hydrated and will bother you throughout the day. Especially if you wear them for 8+ hours a day

Hy! It it possible to find on the market colored contact lenses that have 13.00 mm or 13.5 mm ( idk if I put the measurements well tho) but all of the have 14, as I searched. The shape of my eyes is very big but the iris is a little small on comparison with them. So a 14 contact lens sometimes looks strange on my eyes.

I went with the fonesta!!! Can’t wait! I also tried mels they are nice. Thank You ! God bless! John3:16

I liked them they were very nice! Really brilliant! So if you want them to be seen go for it! Fragile though! But Very comfortable. If you want a *not bright at all look I’d go for sea green daily contacts from solotica they a very nice too.

It really depends on the person. What is bright for me may not be bright for you. It will definitely look lighter than in my eyes! If you’re scared of it being too bright, you could try Hidrocor Buzios 😊

Fonesta for more color!

My thoughts on each: Mel is a pistachio color and lighter than Ambar which is more of a yellow toned green but both are really pretty. Buzios is the most natural contact I’ve ever tried, even up close it looks amazing and so incredibly real. I really love the color combinations of Jade and Ipanema but wish the pupil hole was blended a little bit better. I haven’t tried Fonesta because I have med to lightish brown eyes and think they would be too bright green on me. I’ve never tried the Aquarellas but I’ve been curious about them so I think I’m gonna check out the colors and probably get a few pairs 😊

visit your eye doctor and get a prescription! Then you can add power depending on what your prescription says:)

Do the Hidrocor Buzios or Hidrocor Avela look more natural? I have Avela which looks generally natural but in some lightings, looks very light and green on my dark eyes.

Rio Ipanema looks great on you! These are the ones I currently wear, however it looks like they may have toned them down just a smidge in 2020 - a good move, imo - is this true?

Do hidrocor mel brighter than last year? 2019mel is too dark and has ugly big pupil hole so i didin't choose that. I wish solotica company make more brighter shades of green lenses like quartzo

im currently wearing hidrocor jade and its my most favourite contact color. easily replaced safirs which looks too fake. Many people thought that its my natural eye color because im naturally olive toned and i tan easily. So these are my go to. Yep, color contacts let less oxygen in to the eye. You will feel a big diffraction especially if u get solotica.

Definitely the ipanemas. If u look a pics of real green eyes a lot have a little blue mixed in and brown. I'd love solotica to do more research on green eyes n how the colors mix together. Loved all but the darker green. And the lines mix awesome on em all just not the color blending

Fonzevil that’s a shame, but I do know what you mean I always get bad lenses from Solitica and it hasn’t stopped me from using the brand . You should give them another chance. Something to think about
