when i saw stig get into the " follow throw" too wide i knew either if the lap time 'll be too slow or he 'll crash and that's what happened !

0:14 looks like he hit that bump pretty hard but if you look at all the tire marks, most cars go through that line. I think since its so light weight it popped it up too much and the tires just lost all that traction and the momentum threw it sideways spinning it out.

Suspension too stiff. According to Ben Collins, these track specials like the FXX or this car were just set up too stiff for Dunsfold.

the car bounced in the smalled ditch which clarkson used to demonstrate the suspension of the mp4, which lifted the car and reduced downforce

I'm no physics major myself but I thought the same. I've seen car after car on Top Gear cut that corner with no problem.. sure they've tested some very light cars before such as the Ariel Atom or Mono GP but none are nearly as fast in a straight line as the Sesto.

If there was no such thing as too stiff then why even have suspension? Yes, there is too stiff. If the suspension isn't keeping the tires in contact with the ground and limiting chassis movement over bumps, then it is too stiff. On a normal track, it probably works good, but this track is too bumpy for that suspension.

Schumacher did NOT take that curb in his FXX. Collins does it every time. I always wondered why he does not fly off more often there.

Different stigs different spins

Thats what caused him to spin out. If you notice as soon as he clipped that corner(like he usually does) the rear lost grip and he spun out. It was because of that stiff suspension.

Seeing it spin made me be in awe lol horrible to see such a car with such a price tag have that happen

this car has a great amount of downforce the problem was the lightness and when it bumped it seemed that the rear wheels didnt touch the ground for miliseconds and the it sliped

the Stig have only spun-off twice once in a Koenigsegg (then the factory made a rear wing and called it "Top Gear wing")... so it an honer if the Stig spins off... its not like anyone who actually buy these cars can drive on the same level as the Stig

Wouldn't be so sure, Sesto has sport tires on the FXX and the Zonda R had slicks which means kinda 3-4 secs atleast. Also the Top Gear track is power biased circuit. Zonda R is 750HP with 1070Kg dry weight, FXX 800HP with 1155Kg :P So the Sesto didnt performed badly at all.

that part of the corner has a small bump if u go up to 130+mph i think anything can happen and the suspension of that car is really hard , think that it is a race track car

This lambo seemed sketchy as soon as he took off, suspension looks too stiff, every time he hit a bump the car lifted off the ground

man the reason it spin out cuz of that car is very light!!

Look at the fact that there are a lot of lighter cars, for example Lotus Elise, or Radical SR4 - and they're powerful too...

They should have imposed track limits for celebs and tests plus concrete the bump at the follow through and gambon corner which they did later on.

it was just that the stig havent get used to the handling prolly. not buz the car is bad.

It's a track car...no such thing as too stiff lol.... He spun out after hitting that dip cutting the corner. They've done it so much on that track yet they never seem to fill in the massive hole they're creating.

Downforce is really important in track. FXX also light but have really huge downforce. That's why this car just slip away.

You can buy a Gallardo and then tune it to look like Sesto Elemento (much cheaper and road legal, but not the real thing)

Very Very Light isnt good. Because traction can lower than That of heavier. If Ferrari make 999kg car, they recognize aerodynamic. But Lambo Just Ignore that. Just little spoir on it
