No way rabbitAV1 it was the commentators that made it interesting and informative. If you listened to those guys you knew as much as anybody on or off the tarmac. Perfect example The American Cavalcade of sports. Whatever a Cavalcade is supposed to be 😊

Always make sure your video camera is up on a ladder so a nincompoop does not wreck your feed. Ladder type platforms were used using old Studebaker Wagonaire's with open roofs and professional tube cameras 1960's.

Nice audio and camera work looks like someone is a professional or had some training. Thanks for the follow zooms and decent audio. A lot of race channels have anemic sound and fail to set up mic coverage down the track to maintain the level through the pass. stuntgirl

When watch top fuel/funny car I always turn the volume up basically aa loud as it will go like I'm there or something idk what it is exactly I don't do it with other race cars

@@TLLindsay You're an expert on NHRA top fuel engines, how? At one time I/we had two NHRA AA/FC cars. One is at Don Garlits Museum in Ocala FL. The other I/we sold to a team in GA. They changed it to an alcohol fuel car.

When Funny Cars ran in the 8 second range it was possible to actually see a race unfold. Today it's over so fast there's no time to assess what's happening in real time. The faster Drag Racing gets the less interesting it is to watch. Drag Racing just may be doing itself in.

I have done some NHRA national event racing as recent as 2003, when I was a crew man on a top fuel Dragster,after a number of years. But,I got my start in 1974 when I owned and raced my own C/ Dragster,in IHRA national events. Let's talk a little about your history.

@@mikebaker9574 I began NHRA racing in the late 60's. Earned my NHRA top fuel license in 1969. I/we had two NHRA AA/FC match race cars in 1970. One of those (long nose Chevy Vega) is now at Don Garlits Museum in Ocala FL. I/we sold it to Jim Liberman in 1974. AGAIN, NHRA records can be set as long as it's at a NHRA sanctioned track. My '57 Ford E/G, and E/MP set three NHRA records and not done at a national event. My '69 Boss 302 Mustang set a pure stock NHRA record and not at a national event either. FYI, New England Dragway , in NH, is a NHRA sanctioned track. I won 203 NHRA drag races and 3 class championships. I also raced in NASCAR and NETRA. 248 wins overall. I never did any IHRA racing nor did any 1/8 mile tracks. My last two wins, for my '57 Ford, were at NE Dragway in 2022 and 2023 for NE Nationals in June. 9.68 ET in 2023. 9.86 ET in 2023.
