Also hip thrusts, lunges, and step-ups. The KB swing is often overlooked too.

Awesome! I really like glute ham raises with a barbell/broom handle for support. I'll do them without the bar then grab the bar for a drop set. It's painful in a good way.

Will you do a video and/or talk about what you do nutrition wise for strongman? Just curious. Love your videos.

Passively forcing the ankle into dorsiflexion while doing straight leg deadlifts (RDL’s) seems to me might, for many people , induce a passive stretch in hamstrings and gastrocnemius causing autogenic inhibition … resulting in inhibition of the alpha motor neurons.

Another classic from coach Joe. Still waiting for the announcement that you're heading to the Shaw Classic 😉 Speaking of the legendary fabled creature, coach Matt, I miss his videos. Maybe if I catch a leprechaun on st. Patty's day I can wish for a new one.

Heck yes KB. A 48kg bell and emom will make you strong comrade. Alan Calvert classic book Super Strength puts KBells first. Hey. Can you do some Jefferson deads/squats like Kai Greene? Calvert has A ton of old timey lifts. I also wanna see Coach Joe do Nordic curls. If any strongman has the athleticism, coach Joe does. Also, I wanna see him review the reverse squat by the KOTG B Patrick. Also, review the tibialis training. Also, I wanna see Joey do a sprint triathlon. Coach Matt can get him ready.

My hamstrings are tight as fuck. I’ve never been able to touch my toes. Do you think having that limited of mobility limits the growth potential?

man if you’re too tight you’ll have a hard time getting the best mind muscle connection, maybe spend like half an hour to an hour working on your mobility then see if you can touch your toes or get close, and if it is beneficial do it after your sessions

Makes you more prone to injury. Used to get hip pain doing deads until I started really focusing on getting loosened up on off days. It’ll be easier to get into a good pull position and brace.

When I first started lifting I couldn't either but I always warmed up, tried to hit full rom on my lifts and one day I just suddenly could and now I can like pin my hands all the way under my feet and straighten my legs

@@highviewbarbell Yep what he said. Tightness is weakness and the muscle isn't properly conditioned. In time the muscle gets stronger and more flexible if you're training it right.
