I don't know, some people think even Newsom of all politicians has a good chance of replacing Biden. People keep trying to bring up how Europe has shorter elections but the USA is giant and it's very, very difficult to actually get information out that will reach everyone in the USA. Bidden has always struggled in debates, and trying to quickly thing of a response to Trump in a debate who lied every time he opened his mouth, yes Biden may have had to think and respond in the short timeline of the debate rules, but in reality POTUS is the final word and historically they have always taken careful deliberation from numerous people before answering the question.

No, they definitely do not. They have a liberal bias as hell. It is just that at the end of the day, they need to seem fair past a certain point, and having a president who looks like he has Parkinson's or neurological disease fail to adequately address the concerns is a big problem for the democratic party and for them. Joe needs to do better to convince voters that he can at least hold it down for 2-4 more years and not become lost everywhere he goes.

In Australia we vote for the party not the politician, for policy not personalities.

I’ve been saying some of this to my friends who think Biden should step down… last two times an incumbent didn’t run when they were able to, the incumbent party lost (62&68). We have to think about swing voters. They DONT like Harris. Period. Lots of polls say this. I’m a loyal Dem and I don’t like Harris. Of course I would vote for her if she was the nominee… but I think we’d be stupid to run her…. On the other hand, if we were to skip over her that would infuriate the black coalition within our party and they are some of our strongest democratic members… so we’d risk losing part of our most steadfast base if we had an all out fight for the nominee. I personally think David French the long time traditional republican makes a brilliant case for Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania!!! He is a young popular governor of the most critical state that the Dems HAVE to win. If not we lose. Period end of story. So putting him up as our nominee would be great, if it weren’t for the Harris problem. All that to say, I still think Biden is the strongest candidate we have even after the debate debacle! Any Dem will vote for him over Trump, and if we focus on getting the disaffected Repubs that sided with Niki Haley we win. This is what the top Dems and media should be focusing on! What were the reasons they soured on Trump and pound that messaging on how Biden will help those people!!! I also think Biden needs to start doing some round tables with his team, invite the press into the first part to reinforce that the presidency is a coalition of the cabinet! The optics are, “hey press, we want to give you a photo opp, a peek into our strategy session on how to further eliminate opioid deaths, or the border” or whatever and have the appropriate cabinet members there. SHOW THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THE SAUSAGE BEING MADE!!!

A lot of it honestly is ageism - i have friends that think they are just too god damn smart - they know everything . They have never really liked Biden really - I wasn't real crazy about him in 2020 - but he has done incredible job in the most difficult circumstances in my life and that is 60 yrs at this point . There are a class of democrats that I guess believe they are intellectually superior - and the LOVE , LOVE Obama . Obama was ok but Biden has accomplished more in 3 . 5 yrs than Obama did in 8 - I am not trying to throw stones - I am just telling you the truth. The media's response the debate still disgusts me. The fact that Trump lied about everything and refused to answer questions is far more important than Biden stumbling over his words. In the real world, if he needs 10 minutes to formulate his response, it's fine, he doesn't need to answer questions as quickly as possible. Democrats were the best during the New Deal coalition. Biden has done a good job -- but once his turn is over, it's time for the democrats to find someone who can seriously govern aggressively like Franklin Roosevelt. SCOTUS was shooting down all his new laws during his first term from 1933 to 1937. When he got re-elected in 1936 and began his second term, he put forward a serious bill to reform the supreme court. Biden won't fix the court because he thinks it would "politicize it forever in a way that's unhealthy" -- well,the court is already politicized. There's nothing he could possibly do that would make it worse.

I will call out the Party when its wrong. “They’re doing the devil’s work.” This interview, the President’s speech to NATO, and the palpable determination and positivity during the Essence Festival in New Orleans this past weekend, gives me hope. This election is about the future and Joe Biden promised to be a bridge to the future. Although his Administration has made historic progress, there’s still a lot more history to make. It is the Democratic Party that must win this election FOR the American people, not just for themselves.

Really? The whole party? How many democrats oppose Biden as the nominee? A handful? The people opposing him are either way or to the whacky left, such as Cenk U, but they're in no way representative of democratic voters. Or you have to go out way to the right, to te Bulwark network, who started out opposing Trump, but now spend all their time opposing Biden. They too aren't representative of democrats. There's no central control. There are tens of millions of democratic voters. Most still support Biden. That's true in my own case. And pretty much any democratic voters I know. You're wrongly calling out the wrong people, and not calling out those individuals who are actually guilty.

I'm a Brit in the uk, but I'm worried sick about your election....having researched Project 2025 a lot. I know polls aren't necessarily accurate, but if you look back in time, Joe Biden's poll numbers were so far ahead of trump's, in the months coming up to the 2020 election! Putin wants to take Ukraine! We all know there is Russian propaganda everywhere, in democratic countries.... he's going to be concentrating everything he's got on the US, for trump to win! To take down the US has been his lifelong dream! Now he has trump as a candidate, and "Project 2025" is a blueprint to a DICTATORSHIP, with trump at the helm! Dictatorships stick together....we are seeing it in real time, with Putin finding allies in N.Korea, Iran and China! I'm nearly 60....I NEVER thought I'd see America in this situation!!
