Still blows my mind that Chicago used him as a forward. I read an article on his offensive ability and he said he spent a lot of time stick handling, edge work and shooting. When asked why as a defensemen he replied "I hit people a lot and it gives me time with the puck i wouldn't normally have, I had no choice but to get good at it. "

Saw him play live in Ottawa, for the Jets, many years ago while at a youth tournament with my son's team. Every time he stepped on the ice, he was by far the best player - it wasn't even close. The thing I remember most about him was he never, ever looked down, ever, while skating with the puck, his head was up, on a swivel, just looking for the best play. He was the best player on the ice at 10 years old in the most elite kids' tournament (The Brick) and he was almost always the best player on the ice in the NHL. A true legend.

@@ll7868 Colorado isn't gonna sign any big name guys for any big contracts for long term. They got a lot of raises to deal out in the future, Burakovsky, Makar, Landeskog will need a new contract soon. They've structured their cap so they'll be able to keep their core long term

Evan Poole Then Boston is probably the best place for him to sign if they decide to make an offer but I would expect a few of the other teams I mentioned to make offers as well if he continues playing.

I swear half of Buffs penalties were because he legitimately "hit too hard" - to the point things looked like they just HAD to be penalties in ANY other circumstance, if ANY other player caused the havoc he did...
