I love seeing you work through issues. This allows us to see what works and what does not!
I like watching the real process. It helps me feel better about my mistakes.
Another one who agrees that watching you work through issues and evaluate what works better is very helpful and preferred! Enjoyed this collaboration you did with Mary!
I love Mary Polanco! And you always have great tips and techniques! Great collaboration!
Wonderful thanks Lou. Please keep the whoopsies in. It certainly helps to see how to overcome them.
I've tried this. I used my stamp platform and was able to re-emboss a second time with the Versamark, pour embossing powder over it, heat and then put foil on again. No areas were left unfoiled.

Brilliant hack!! I have no foil machine so I’m totally doing this hack! 😉

Thank you for saying that as that was my question! Perfect that you answered that! Thank you!
I enjoy watching Mary too, but somehow missed the foiling hack, can't wait to try. I like seeing the process, not just perfected techniques!
Great collaboration. I like the way you show the first try and how you changed things to get it better the second time. Keep it going this way!
Love these hacks would of never have thought of foiling like that , it's refreshing to see crafters work through problems and mistakes instead of watching everything coming out "perfect" especially if your a newbie as it always makes you question why yours never looks that way
You keeping it real gives me the confidence to try myself.
Love the sticky mat and stencils flip.
Love working through things, makes it real, and teaches solutions along the way
I like seeing your videos and how you fix things when something doesn’t quite go to plan … which is often the case when I craft! 😊🥰
I love it when some of my favorite youtubers collaborate! I don't ALWAYS want to see you work through every part of a technique, but when you have issues that you have to work through, it definitely helps to see what you tries that worked or didn't. I've tried LOTS of methods of foiling stamped images, and none have worked very well, so I appreciate ALL the tips I can get.😁 😊
I have been watching Mary for around a year she has some fabulous hacks. I remember commenting saying it would be great for someone in UK to share so was thrilled to see this. Mary also tries to show cheaper alternatives which are great. Thanks for sharing x
Another great video Lou! ❤ As for your nails, I hope NO ONE would criticize! Good God! We are here to learn about cardmaking, and not critique beautiful YOU! Thanks for sharing your precious time! Hugs from Saskatchewan, Canada 😊
Hi Lou. You and Mary obviously had so much fun "stealing" each other's hacks. Good for you both andnus too. Thanks so much. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
I much prefer watching you work through issues, your ideas are amazing. Thank you ❤
Love hack videos. Thanks so much. You and Mary rock
I like videoes like This we all make mistakes yet its wonderful that I am not The only One making them♥️🙏🏾
It's encouraging to see that the techniques don't always work right for you the first time you try them either... and to see you work through the issues that come up.
Great techniques Lou! I love to watch from start to finish, ( warts & all) I also love Mary, she;s lovely! Thank You for a brilliant video X
I love seeing you work through the issues. It is reassuring that you have the same problems experience. Thanks Lou
Thanks Lou, brilliant hacks. It’s great that you show us how to get out of sticky situations, I have thrown projects away that I’ve messed up, but have learnt now that there are solutions.😊
I like when we see the mistakes and we can fix them if you provide the solutions
I like seeing the processes with issues and how to overcome them.
I love working through things together 😊 thanks Lou
We all make mistakes and it’s great to see you fix them
I love seeing how you are working through the idea! Thank you for allowing me to see your process! Excellent!❤
What fun! I love seeing the actual process and how you adjust it, along the way, to make it work!
Hi Lou, I watched Mary's video as well. I love these 'hack' videos and love seeing how to fix mistakes. More videos like this would be great. Love your channel .
I watched Mary's video first. You both did an excellent job! What creative people you both are! Ill be researching so I can craft along.
Thank you for the brilliant sticky mat DIY. I made one today and it worked so well that I made two more for friends!
I really appreciate seeing your mistakes and “fixes” because sure as shootin’ I’ll make the same mistake later, but I will know how to fix it immediately. An art teacher showed our whole class a mistake I made, and it was embarrassing at the moment, but he did that with everyone, always explaining how to fix whatever he was showing. It was a great teaching method.
I LOVE seeing you do things for the 1st time! I feel validated when it doesn’t go perfect the first time, lol. And I love seeing the tips and the why-not -to’s. Saves me from testing the same ideas that fail. THANK YOU!❤
This is such a great collab! You are two of my favorite content creators. I loved seeing your spin on her tips. It was really helpful to see how you fixed things that didn't go as planned, especially when you're first trying a technique. I've seen the foam stamps before, but this is the first time seeing it attached to acetate so you can reuse it easily. Brilliant!
Love, love these kind of videos Lou, more please, great ideas and tips. Thanks heaps x
Mary is a rockstar!!!!
I enjoy seeing it , it just makes better sense to me. So happy you and Mary collaborated 💜💐💐
Great video I love seeing you tube creators making mistakes to me it shows we are not perfect rather than watching edited videos
I like watching you work through the issues
Those are awesome hacks!! Nothing I wouldve thought about on my own.
I love seeing yor thought processes as you work the issues out... thank you
Great video. Please leave it all in, I love to see mistakes and how people go about rectifying them 😊
I love to see your whole process. Awesome technique!
Love these! I prefer learning along with you. Lori
Hi everyone, I do love watching how it's done❤
Clearly if viewers are worried about your nails then they have too much time on their hands!! Lovely vid, too - thank you!!
Really enjoyed watching your thought process. Loved all the hacks🇨🇦
Thank you for showing the good and not so good. It will happen and I'll know what to do.
Like seeing you work through the problem.
I like to see how you work through things and if something does not work how to fix it!! Great video!!
Fab video and hacks. I prefer raw videos as if mistakes happen we can learn how to deal with them as well. X
Working through is preferred.
love to see you work through any issues, brillliant ideas too
I love the stamp hack I must try it.thanks for sharing.
love love these hacks ❤️❤️thx so much to you and Mary!!❤️
The foam stretches if you run it thru more than once. Tasha Foote makes stamps this way too.
I love the foil hack and have not seen it on Mary's videos.
Love your work thru videos, we learn so much! 😊
Great hacks Lou, I do no.3 but the rest are new to me.. Love warts and all crafting but I am easy, so whatever you do is great xx
We love to see the what can happen when things don’t work out first time thank you , I love watching Mary she is lovely and shows how to buy on a budget and try’s all gadgets out for the best buy
I appreciate the learning curve. New follower here.
I love all of these, brilliant!
Thanks for the inspiration
Cool..I like to watch the experiment..shows a good thought process
Fab tips. Love the sticky mat idea. Thanks for sharing
Very good ideas, me and foil have had a love/hate relationship 😊, I’ll try this. Jenny
So usefull!
Love these hacks. Thank you so much.
I love seeing the process. I watch both you and Mary Polanco, you both have the best ideas. Thank you.
I love seeing you work through everything. Your videos are so helpful! Thank you!
Fab techniques and hacks. Great ideas Lynne x
Love this collab. Lots of great techniques and hacks.
Wonderful tips.
Lots of very cool ideas and helps here, thank you! Seeing how you can use foiling without a machine will be mighty useful for me, thank you. And even turning my stencils over, duh, I never thought of that. An aside, I like your own, home grown nails best.....not really my business, is it? lol
Thank you, Lou - and Mary - for lovely hacks. I particularly liked the last one, I’m always a bit unsure what to do with the stencils like the one you showed, but your idea was delightful!
Your accent is so cool! I love it!
I like seeing the process of how you do techniques. It helps me to work through similar problems I may encounter.
Loved both videos in this collaboration! 🩷
So excited watching you and Mary Polanco in the same day! Learning tips from both of you!

Thank you ☺️
I like to see how you work things out ❤
Great video❤❤❤
Ahhhh how fun was this collab! Great job on all these hacks; that first one is the trickiest. I was holding by breath the whole time. haha Thank you so much for this!
I love all of these! Brilliant!! Thank you! My answer to the question is that if there’s something quite complicated, then I like to see you work through it, but if it’s pretty simple just get on with showing the simple version…my vote! Thank you again!!💕
I don't keep the little dot for the letter i, I use an enamel dot instead.
Thanks fort sharing all that information! Have you tried a brayer instead of a bone folder for the 1st & 2nd hacks? It seems that a bone folder might be too rigid and abrasive where a brayer might provide a bit softer but even pressure.
I wasn't very successful the first time I tried this. Second go was a little better but I was having issues with the foil not covering all the embossing powder. I decided to try using my iron. I made the mistake of moving the iron around in a circular fashion which smeared it some. Then I tried again and gently placed the iron over the embossing powder image, lifted the iron and repeated until I had foil covering the whole embossed image. I had placed the embossed cardstock with foil sheet between a sheet of folded parchment paper before ironing so my iron didn't get messed up.
Foil on heated embossing powder? Have you tried Heat & Stick for more stickiness in place of the powder, and heat from underneath. I will be trying your technique here as my Mink machine is a pain to get out and plug in etc. Thanks for all the great stuff.
Wowwww! So would glimmer foil work on this too?
I wonder what happens if you stamp with the versa mark and put foil on that. No embossing powder.
have you tried hack 1 on glossy photo paper.
❤
I'm trying to figure out why I would need a stamp made from a die when I could just use the die to cut some paper and glue it to the page/card base.
Foam only once. Good to know
Could you have stuck the two foam pieces together before die cutting the wreath or would it be too thick for machine?
@LouCollins

I think this particular foam would’ve been too thick x

@@LouCollins thanks for your reply. I loved the sticky mat hack. I have the sticky mat from craftstash but find it too sticky and have damaged card on it so I’ll be giving this a go x
This was so fun! Enjoyed your problem solving process. Thanks so much for doing this collab! 😊
Bonding powder would have worked better maybe 🤔
@carolinebronkhorst582

Are you meaning sticky embossing powder?

@@carolinebronkhorst582no, at least it doesn't say that. It says Bonding Powder by WOW. I picked some up a couple of years back without really looking & thinking white embossing powder, dries clear. Didn't really know what to do with it til saw Laura on Meerkat Makes using it. She used it with foil & works a treat. Just stamp, powder on, heat til melted then foil on. Hope this helps.
I prefer the real presentation, because I always have issues that come up, just like everyone else.
Why peoples have to say "Hacks" instead of "ideas" is beyond me. The word "hacks" isn't even remotely the same as "ideas".
