As a native citizen of Greece , do not start your business in greece , you have to pay 40% taxes and the inflation is very high , besides that the irs is very strict here and in general if you setup your business here in Greece , you are gonna feel like you play unfair mario and rage quit from the game

Thats absolutely true! Also its not very easy to get someone to hire a non local. Most employers prefer to hire a local for several reasons. If the country is a non English speaking country they will want you to be fluent in the local language for starters. The possible issue with income tax if you aren’t a citizen plus do you have a work visa or just a tourist visa. There are a dozen different reasons that make getting a job overseas more difficult than simply starting your own business.

If old uncle sam is so desperate for employees, then shouldnt there be an american job seeker visa by now? i mean, either all this labor shortage is true or theres some real smelly politics going on in usa.

the risks of going where you are treated best, mean you are willing to do business where Maslow's hierarchy of needs is unbalanced or has some layer removed. Yet you are running away from some layers being removed from your current jurisdiction. I think very few countries are NOT removing layers nor improving layers.

Depends of type of manufacturing. Vietnam is just fantastic but you need to speak language or know someone.

It all sounds good, but I am in the process of starting a high end motion picture production, so I need to be in a country with large English speaking base (not necessarily an English speaking country), Western culture, great infrastructure, inspiring environment, no corruption, low taxes, skilled-reliable people, good weather all year round and of course, where we'll be treated best 😉

You can't - you do it gradually. Move to country with Tax treaty with these countries, lower your taxes. After which you are free to go anywhere. Like Andrews says you need proper planning.

I don't know about Italy or Spain but in portugal's case it only apllies to blacklisted jurisdictions. They have a blacklist and if u move to countries on that list you're still seen as a Portuguese tax resident for a few years. What are countries on this list? The panamas of the world, countries known to be destinations for people who don't wanna pay taxes. That said it's not about the country's laws, but perception. You'll find high taxed countries on that list like Trinidad and Tobago, but it's an island so it must be shady. It's all a matter of perception. That said a country like Malaysia doesn't have this sort of reputation and therefore is not blacklisted, meaning u could move there and become a tax resident while potentially paying 0 or very low tax. When you're no longer in the portugal's tax net you're free to become a tax resident wherever u want

Best country to start a passive real estate rental business? The visa duration should be long enough so I dont have to renew it every now and then, real estate ownership freehold, and low/average taxes, and also no sponsor required!

Dont think EU is the place anymore, too expensive and too risky

The Stock Market is a rigged system. You can make profits but it's more about smart gambling as opposed to investing in a business. If you want to invest in business go with private equity.

Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, I would not bother to invest in any NATO countries and main reason for it, the way they gone after any Russian oligarch and freeze & seized their assets. For example how the UK government treating Roman Abramovich football club, Chelsea. They have to permits here, permits there,just to trade. So for now, forget about North America/ Europe.

Amazing country, fantastic people. Ho Chi Min would be the best to start business. Visa a bit complicated but manageable. Smaller towns extremely safe. HCM city not dangerous but watch out your phone on street. No one will attack you on the street. Never heard of it. Retirement would be good about 400km Noth of HCM city, quality of air and people way way more friendly. Better go and spend some time yourself to get a bigger and better picture. Amazing country

Do not start in Serbia either. It might seem OK but the attitude is 100% like other southern countries, greece italy etc, and you can't even naturalize either.

I could see countries in the future giving out citizenships based on your DNA (ancestry) results

@@davidjoseph4459 That’s anywhere in the world. I am a real estate investor in Thailand - always add 15% for bribes, gifts and paperwork in Thailand. I live in Koh Samui on the beach, maid, cook, chauffeur, nanny, multiple harem of beautiful women, and now just got a 60 foot Princess. Only issue is banking - getting money out is not easy like say West or Singapore. Vietnam is another option that’s overlooked.
