They "forgot" to mention that quartz can't take the heat like granite.

Hi, is there any video which shows how solids surfaces are made from zero level to finish level? Any help would be highly appreciated.

Great video!! Thanks for sharing the informative with us. This was actually pretty interesting. It will definitely help many to choose the right countertop material. Though for all my kitchen countertop needs, I trust pros at Legacy Marble & Granite. Thanks!!

I have recently done project of 5 star resort in south Africa and there we have put granite and quartz material all over but client keep complaining about dull polish on quartz and after so many complain now we have remove quartz slabs from all kitchen that's cost us too high so its better to use natural stones only marble or granite, after all natural is way better.

Does anyone use formica? I think it might be the best value for money option and has great durability. They claim the new formica styles are much better than in the past.

This test is very uninformitive. It doesn't mention anything other than 3 types of counter tops. What about quartzite, butcher block, solid surface, concrete, laminate, porcelain, marble, soapstone, etc... In addition, resins in quartz burn at 300 degrees fahrenheit, making it far less heat resistant than natural stone. In addition, Dekton is an ultracompact surface meant to be tougher than natural stone and quartz. Something is wrong with that.

Engineered Stone burns, scratches, stains and can't be repaired. They forgot that part. I love the theory of the pressed materials like Dekton, but like Engineered Stone, they can't be repaired. aka a fatal flaw.

Resealing granite is NOT a big deal. You just apply the sealer on a clean granite countertop and let it sit for a set period of time. You wipe it off and it is sealed. It might've taken, what? Maybe 10 minutes out of your life to seal the countertop? Besides, granite is much more heat resistant then quartz. In a kitchen that's really used for cooking that is the most important. Although I do like both countertops.

15 years and sealed it 2 x, and really dont need to take care of it. No color shifts over time like quartz either. Also, you can have windows with direct sun on granite. its why you can use it outside, while quartz is NOT recommended at all to be used outside. Ya, Dekton is like glass. Its best for walls and floors. not hot cold swings or things bumping on it. Porcelain tile is even more giving than Dekton, as Dekton is heat treated to a much higher temp, and is super rigid. Regardless, I would not listen to consumer reports for any product testing. They are like JDPowers, a big marketing agency.
