Kazuma just wants to be loved by his 'little sister' that's all. There are a couple of translation issues going on, though. But it's quite simple. He loves her as his sister and he wants her to love him, but he's not physically attracted to her. After all, when they switched bodies he had absolutely zero interest in her body. All he did was try to use his new position to bathe with Darkness. Not once did it even cross his mind to do anything weird with the new body he controlled. So yeah, he's creepy as all hell, but he never actually crossed that line. Even with Megumin he has shown to have mixed feelings, since she's kinda small for his liking. I know, it's a weird topic to discuss but I felt like this was needed, lol.

These were the vibes I got from the past episodes aswell but the last lines of “she’d say she wanted to go out with me” or “want me to sleep in her bed” gave the complete wrong impression.

In the LN, Kazuma tried to get his parents to divorce so he could have a non blood related little sister, when they remarry, he says at the start that he really wants one, in S1E7, he asked Eris for a little and older step sister, and then he said in the chapter for Episode 3, that he’s starting to like girls like Iris and it made Megumin mad. He also likes Megumin, but wasn’t interested in her, until he found out her age in the bath in S2E2 and got flustered as all his emotions started up. He found her pretty in LN 2, but his only problem was her age and it’s implied from LN 5’s Kazuma flashback from S3’s campfire scene, that Megumin resembles his childhood friend that wanted to marry him, so he has PTSD from the NTR. He’s not called Kuzuma or loliNEET for no reason.

There's so much details in the Ln that the anime skipped over that explains why Kazuma suddenly became a menace this episode. His biggest strength lies in the fact that he has the weakest, most basic job class, ie, adventurer. It's because of this that he can pick up all kinds of skills all across the board. Specialised jobs can't do that. Eg: A SwordMaster can only pick up sword skills, an Arch Mage can only pick up offensive magic, a Thief can only pick up thief skills. But Kazuma can learn them all. That's what makes him a problem, his versatility. He may not be a master of any, but he is a jack of all trades. And when he actually gets serious for once and actually uses his brains along with those skills he becomes a menace. This raid in the Ln was actually more epic. Kazuma was using all his skills, using bind on people left and right, creating literally pocket sand by combining Earth and wind magic, shattered the magic staff of the other mage bodyguard of Iris with his arrow because his luck makes him never miss, and him beating Mitsurigi was even more ruthless. Dude not only waterboarded him, but he also freeze all the water down his throat and nostrils and almost killed him.

I didn't read the ln but in the manga it's similar to how you described it. He was cooler in the manga and I didn't like that the staff changed his outfit and made cuts to his awesomeness. Also I wish they didn't cut kazuma calling out Claire. Season 3 is so over the top in comedy compared previous seasons which kinda ruins it imo.

I think the LN did the combat scene a lot better. The guards thought he was some godlike mage with absurd mana because he kept draining mana to refill his reserves and spamming bind on everyone to neutralize them. Chris was also a lot more active in the fight which showed more of their teamwork. Kazuma was also a lot more brutal and less goofy when he got serious which helped the scene out.

Lots of people talk about Chris was more active but i don't think that's true. In LN, she just broke the enemy line and binded the mage's magic. Even in manga she also did the same thing

This is also the first time kazuma doesent have 3 dead weights and have an actual usefull teammate for once XD

@@Sprivtk his first introduction in the anime is during that succubus episode, one of the 2 dude that stalking the succubus shop. In the anime its skipped, basically Dust envy with Kazuma that has advance class party, they switch party for a moment and after that Dust understand Kazuma struggle

4:30 uh.. that was drain touch. 8:12 both kazuma and chris used steal so they get one item each. chris got the necklace, kazuma got the ring.

I don't know why no one else ever notices that Kazuma was acting exactly like Vanir while wearing the replica of his mask... My theory is that the mask partially possessed him...

I mean... 4:32 that was Drain Touch, learned from Wiz, don't you remember? He used it many times during the previous seasons too. He can't say who he learned it from because that's a lich ability, and liches are considered evil. And he's wearing that mask that Vanir gave him, remember? Which is supposed to make him feel at "top condition", that's why he's so different (and powerful) while he's wearing it, it's magical, it's not a normal mask. It also shows that if Kazuma used his abilities a little bit better, he would actually be pretty strong.

Supplementary info/LN changes (long comment warning because many notable things were changed.) Fun fact: the WN released (Dec. 2012 - Oct. 2013) before Persona 5 was announced (Nov. 24, 2013) and LN 6 (March 1, 2014) was released before Persona 5 released (September 15, 2016.) In the LN, after the punch last episode, Megumin was on his back likely due to Explosion and realized he was back, so she told him to give her Mana so she can help him fight and she beat up the delinquents without Explosion (she let Iris fight, because her stats are OP as a Royal and she could beat them in Kazuma’s body, despite the swap.) Claire and Darkness were furious and lectured him when he returned, instead of Aqua (during the banquet, Claire also chewed him out so badly he ran away crying and wanted to leave, because everyone thought his Party should ditch Kazuma and gave solutions to replace Kazuma, the weakest class and felt useless, despite everything he did so far.) Claire was like an S, the counterpart to the M Darkness and Kazuma confronted her about her desires with Iris, bringing up her having a moment with Iris.) They weren’t caught the same way in the LN, as Kazuma triggered the alarm by stealing a dirty magazine and they shouldn’t have been spotted with Lurk, as it can trick even a Rookie Killer (the monster shown in KonoBakuen.) Rain is a Mage, so the anime buffed her by giving her access to healing, which that class doesn’t get (she ‘healed’ Mitsurugi by melting the ice with her magic and couldn’t heal Claire/Claire didn’t fight.) This entire fight disappointed the community, since the LN makes it clear that it’s all Kazuma with the mask just giving him clearer thinking and apparently an important staff member downplays Kazuma so he never gets his full cool moments from the LN, for comedy (he solos the knight force by spamming Drain Touch, Create Earth and Windbreath to blind, Bind, and Steal, to non-lethally defeat everyone with no damage skills, besides Drain Touch and causes them to panic because they think he’s more powerful than a Crimson Demon, as no one should be able to use such high mana costing spells like Bind and spam it, he doesn’t have Manatite, and they can’t see Drain Touch, so it just looks like he is just one-shotting people by being near, Kazuma defeats Mitsurugi by grabbing his face and shoving Create Water down his throat and instantly uses Freeze, preventing him from breathing and naturally choking, lowering their morale and forcing them to get help so Mitsurugi doesn’t die and he was taken out during this scene, Chris and Kazuma used this skill called Escape, which prevented the knights from capturing them/catching up to them as it boosted their evasion rate, Kazuma used Snipe to break Rain’s staff, causing her to cry, and prevented her from casting deadly magic to kill them, and the stakes were higher as Claire told Rain and everyone else to kill them and would let Aqua use Resurrection.) Darkness used the lighter and burned the dirty magazine, which made Kazuma dejected and the scene where the castle finds out, is due to Aqua and Megumin, who sealed the Divine Treasure ahead of time and confirmed it was to protect Iris, respectively (Claire insults Kazuma again, but starts crushing on the masked thief, saying that she was disappointed that he became a thief, would’ve taken him in if he wasn’t a criminal, and hopes to meet him again.) Iris says that she fell for the handsome thief, pranked Kazuma to get a reaction out of him, and when Kazuma declares to beat the Demon King, Claire sneers at him (Iris also mentions her unique skill here in this anime only scene, Exterion, which is a glowing slash that can cut things into two and she can vary it’s power.) Fun fact: the chibis here are from the LN and are used for the next LN previews (also, among the dolls Mitsurugi has, one is a Winter Shogun, which Kazuma won for Yun Yun in LN 3/S2.) When Megumin writes the note, Darkness and Kazuma react, with Darkness panicking and Kazuma choosing not to reveal because he’s now her hero that she looks up to (there was also a silly scene where Kazuma steals Aqua’s wine and Megumin’s age is brought up and she says that she’s old enough to marry, so she’s allowed to drink and goes to buy the wine as Kazuma’s too overprotective.) So, I mentioned the cut ring joke in Episode 4, because at the end of this 2nd epilogue, Aqua sees the ring and tries to perform the same trick again, which Kazuma instantly keeps it away from her and LN 6 ends (they swapped the Alderp, Iris, and Kazuma scenes/PoVs, with Alderp first, then Iris, and lastly Kazuma’s, for the LN and some info was cut, but I’m holding it back, because they’re portraying it as a mystery instead of a crazy sudden reveal, like they did for Wolbach in LN 4 and KonoBakuen, and Hans in the same LN.) With what you’ve seen so far, you can now see that this is one of the darker and more serious LNs with insidious things happening and that Konosuba is more than just a comedy (the same staff cut one infamous chapter which would’ve clued anime only viewers in more, at least for Kazuma’s skills and not think he’s a joke) and the next LN/second half of this Season will continue this vibe and why they separated LN 5 and LN 6, so LN 6 and 7 could continue back to back (also, the first LN with no boss fight or General.) The title of LN 6 is a parody of Rokka no Yuusha/Rokka: Heroes of the Six Flowers (Rokka no Oujo/Princess of the Six Flowers.)

Aside from his own skills, Kazuma was probably also influenced by the Vanir mask. He repeated the phrase about its qualities, mentioned dark emotions and even started speaking japanese in the same way Vanir does

That’s anime only, as that doesn’t happen in the LN. Kazuma himself confirms that it made him think clearer and that’s all it did, as everything is all him and he did similar stuff early in the LNs, without the mask.

I think Kazuma loves the princess as his 'little sister'. Nothing more nothing less. He just wants to be loved as a big brother. While the princess, I think she has feelings for Kazuma. iirc, Kazuma's type is something like Darkness. Girls with bombastic style. He asked the succubus service to deliver him a big sister with sexy and erotic appearance. Although I think he is too desperate to care about his dream girl and will probably go with Megumin if he notices her feelings.

In this LN, he says Claire is closer to his type (physical body.) He likes Megumin because of her personality, not because he’s desperate and he still found her pretty in LN 2, but he was against it because he thought she was younger and as soon as he found out her age, he got all flustered in the bath in S2E2. He doesn’t like Darkness in that way and constantly calls her just fanservice girl.

Sorry dude. This is not a trash anime, the characters are fun and sometimes relatable, the story although a bit slow is still developing and the relationships between the characters feel natural and not forced. Also, kazuma is an amazing MC.
