Thank You for your sharing of the knowledge . Last time my 2009 Chevy traverse told me that the engine is losing power , shut down the engine . I checked what was wrong with it , I found out that the heater hose pipe was broken . I took it to the Chevy Dealership and I was told that it is a big deal , so we have to replace spark plugs , cleaning fuel injectors and the cost is $ 1800 . I said : no .... And I took it back home with two truck that asked me $ 70 . I looked for the hose pipe for $ 10 and I replaced it . And it is running properly .

My 1zz fe caldina was losing power I did the oil change I changed the air filter and the new spark but it still same

My Mitsubishi Lancer suddenly started hesitating, "Check Engine Light" came on but managed to get the car home, thankfully. Checked all the obvious piping and the Air Inlet Filter, all looked ok, still had the warning light on. Whilst I was waiting delivery of a an OBD2 fault coder to arrive I cleaned the air filter with a vacuum cleaner. Wow was I surprised that the engine warning light disappear, new filter now on order.

Right. Great video but they don't explain how to test or what symptoms to look for on each point of failure. You know when it's a bad coil or plugs, because you can often hear misfiring. And bad sensors often cause engine codes that help you narrow it down. But what if you don't see or hear anything apparently wrong?

@@FatBoiiDaniel1600 Perhaps something is still clogging your exhaust. Can you remove the pipe to your exhaust system? I did this on a Tuson, unbolted the cat and strung it up with some wire to the frame and it proved the cat was blocked. Open your intake also for testing. Do a compression test. Good luck

You have an electrical problem, and it could be due to several reasons. I recommend checking the fuses for the lights and the battery. After that, inspect your battery because it might be failing and causing issues. When the battery starts to fail, it can affect the lights and the sound system. I hope this helps. Believe it or not, my town car had loss of power on acceleration and it turned out being a mud dobber had built up a nest inside the 3" air intake in the grill area blocking the flow. Who would have thought!

The first thing I recommend checking is the detonation sensor, as it often causes power loss and explosions in the exhaust pipe. If you've checked that sensor and still have the issue, it might be a clogged catalytic converter, which can cause both exhaust explosions and power loss. As a last resort, I suggest looking into the intake manifold, as that can be a more serious problem. I explain more on my channel. Regards.

O/D switch doesn't work. Even, when I start power before start engine O/D off is blinking automatically. When I start vehicle o/D off light still blinking . So, I have a 2010 1.6 TDCI Focus, I've just had the EGR and fuel filter replaced because of intermittent loss of torque. All seemed fine after the new EGR was fitted 2 months ago but it's started doing it again, what can be causing my intermittent loss of power but switching the engine off and restarting it cures it for a while?

Check Injector and high pressure pump.

Out of anger when my engine won't respond when i excellerate, i pumped the excellerator pedal very hard and it responded. That's how i drive it now after discovering that. I've fitted a new exellerator pedal which comes with two built in sensors and there's no change. In short, it only excellerates when you pump the excellerator each time it stalls. What could be the cause? My throttle is fairly new, about 2/3 years old.

Fuel pump most likely. It causes a lot of power loss problems in your vehicle. You have to use more fuel than you normally do when your driving up a hill. Putting more stress on your pump. If you’re going uphill and your vehicle is struggling then it’s more than likely a fuel pump going bad

Or a clogged fuel filter. Check the fuel filter first because it’s a lot easier and cheaper to replace, then you can go from there if it’s still having a loss of power

I recommend checking the fuel pump, as it is often the main problem when it struggles to accelerate and loses power. If that doesn't solve it, check the PCV valve.

I have a Isuzu rodeo and it was doing the same thing that your vehicle is doing it doesn't have any power when you first start it but if you turn the ignition key off and on real fast while it's running it resets something but it was the electronic control module that I had to replace in order to get mine back online but more likely that's what it is for your cool pack set on top of the electronic control module

I'm from Canada. My Sante Cruz is 2023. What causes it to lose power when I'm driving? I'll be driving 120km/h then w/o warning, it drops to 20 km/h, the engine light comes on. I'll pull over, turn off the vehicle, give it a few minutes, turn the vehicle back on ... everything is fine. There's no pattern, temperature or weather condition or particular speed as to when it drops power. Mechanic says it's not the fuel pump. Spark plugs were changed many times, in the process of changing the throttle (this recommendation comes after he spoke w/ Hyundai's Head Office - they're not sure why this is happening either). So there are no recall notices issued. Vehicle has been in the shop 5X since April 2023 for the exact same (above mentioned) problem. Computer scan says there's nothing wrong. Any ideas what's causing this? Or all Sante Cruzs having the same problem in the USA?

Fuel filter change it located in your fuel pump most of time cause of your problem located in the back seat and clean your injectors very easy and replace the cam shaft position sensor as well you have your back in order

It happened to me while i was full throttle approaching top speed of my car. Out of a sudden the engine starting acting weird and cutting power while still trying to produce, i kept my foot flat amd then the engine started losing even more power then i released the gaz cuz the check engine came on which btw never showed in my dashboard. When i released throttle the check engine disappeared but the car still runs fine without bugging only when i approached top speeds. Its not the speed limiter, i got it deleted and already ran its true top speed about 3 or 4x. Once it happened i came straight to youtube to find what could possibly be the issue. I will change oil and fuel filter and maybe air filter and see if it fixes my issue.

@@fortis634 well i changed the oil and its better but still happens, kinda still close to top speed but only when i floor it. Weirdly i do not floor it but rather keep it in triptonic(manual mode) and the car seems to accelerate even faster for unknown reasons. Next is cleaning my injectors and see if that fixes it. I ll do that tmr

Yes, that is the problem with ECU Engines, you need an OBD1 or 2 fault code reader to highlight which sensor is sending an error. I got lucky by just cleaning the air inlet filter with an hesitating engine. (filter looked ok and would have been ok in a pre-ECU car).
