Yes brill video, just sat in pub in east Yorkshire having a couple of pints. It's a Friday teatime now. My wife used to live in a condo at on nut,she shared the room with 3 other thai girls. We now live in England full time now, not really been round that area but looks great. I love Bangkok, always will. Hopefully when we can return will have to stay in that area,looks great. We always book thro agoda, so sure there is something there. Near on nut will be great,always got the bts to rely on. Yes just in pub, very strict here,have to wear mask etc whenever you leave your table. Only waitress service, can't even stand at the bar !!!! It's great...just like Thailand !!!

I recognize the chef at 6:52!! He cooked at a restaurant on Suk 71/2 called Farm Fresh for years. We ate there all the time and LOVED his food!! Our favorite restaurant in Bangkok. I'm so happy he's still cooking and will definitely find this place!! I was heartbroken when he closed and have always wondered where he went.

@@SideTripLife After I posted my comment, I visited the restaurant's facebook page and very sadly there are comments explaining that the beloved chef died in July 2021 in a car accident. I was so heartbroken to learn the news. Such a tragic loss of a kind man who brought so much happiness to so many with his incredible food.

Yes I made a comment about half way thro your video. Leaving the like hotel section to do, watched all the video. Looks great it's a lot less busier than I remember Bangkok, but to be expected. I do need to get around bkk again, will frei, will be great. But too many hurdles to get there at the moment. Hopefully soon. Bri and frei east Yorkshire.

Nice video with an excellent variety of info. I wish you'd paid more attention to emphasizing the distinction between Sukhumvit Sois 101 & 101/1. Most visitors do not understand they are almost 1km apart and are both very busy sois. For instance, both the "Golden Bay Leaf" and the "101 Restaurant" you highlighted are actually on Suk. 101/1, not Suk 101

Thanks John. Used to avoid malls back home. But a free shuttle to Ikea and Mega Mall Bangna even for just a nose around & bite to eat makes for a nice few hours.

Nice video, however the price of Hotels are artificially low due to covid19 etc. Also September prices are always substantially lower than Peak Jan to March ...I always stay near Udom suk / On nut great value...thanks for video but first timers should be aware of peak and normal prices...

@denis martin fair points Dennis, thx. Still, these are all sub 3 star hotels (more like 2 really) and outside of the normal tourist zones as you point out. Thus would expect 1000 baht range is still likely in 'normal' times/season. We shall see in the future (hopefully;)

@Prily Calista Parts of it were. Other parts were filmed on my Samsung. All in 1080 as well, so not 4K quality obviously. Will do a full review of the X50 Pro soon. Cheers

@Edmar Lumibao Thank you! Actually that particular night was filmed in August (my actual B-day;) and added it to the current content filmed this month. As for my thoughts after seeing all the past protests up close (a bit too close a few times). The actual students certainly seem very peaceful and sincere and one wishes them well. But there's also others in the crowd from another group we've seen before. Suffice to say, here's hoping for peaceful evolvements or resolutions all round.

The one question is internet, speed and price [ if it works= cost ]

@Johnny Siam Good question Johnny, thanks. Will talk Cable TV/Internet as mine are bundled. I used to use TRUE, all channels/top package + 100Mbps internet = 2100 baht TV + 700 baht internet or $90 ish. Switched to AIS 'play premium' similar TV package but 299 baht + internet also 299 baht (chose 50 Mbps pkg, still plenty fast & good). So, TV + Internet all in 600 baht = approx $20 (or 25 CAD/27 AUD;)

I was so stupid to have such difficulties in finding good food in BKK two years ago.

Change your name in something easy to remember. Eg bangkoklove

Sure there's cheaper around but hey $25 month for a pretty decent gym in a central area not bad. Muscle Factory near On Nut double.
