Swing head creature bait can be the ticket for post spawn early summer bass in the Ozarks of NW Arkansas in June 👊😎

I have really been enjoying using prop baits in recent years. I never really fished them in the past for whatever reason, but they are fun.

I've caught some of my biggest topwater bass using them. For whatever reason, they seem to attract a better quality of fish.

Good stuff bro, I've just discovered the value of a weedless paddletail. Given the crazy amount of weeds my waters get, it'll be that, trig worm, and topwater

I have the exact same set up its actually from 2 different setups that i upgraded and had the rod from 1 then the reel from the other. So i slapped the extras together making that 1st set up you were using. I swear that lil grey abu Garcia reel is like 50 bucks out the door, but i swear its so underrated. It has never gave me any issues . It cast great, but its maybe nested up on me like 3 times . I have reels that are 150 bucks and are awesome but they are so Finicky . If its not dialed to each lure itll blow up on you and just piss you off. That reel is the ardent summit hawk. Beautiful reel but ill never buy another ardent . Just isnt made well in my opinion. Paint weres of the line guide insert literally fell out when i was fixing a nasty nest And it fell in the lake. My helios is the same price range and you can tell by the 1st cast and crank that its on another level .However anyone looking for a budget reel dont sleep on that grey abu its legit and just really user friendly for beginners that might still have issues with bird nest. Way better then the lews classic pro and its 20 bucks cheaper

I like my Abu reels quite a lot. I have several more expensive reels like a Curdao DC (which I really don't like) and a few higher dollar Lew's. But for what I do, those Abu Garcia reels work great and can really take a beating!

@@LowBrowFishingyeah i have a few higher dollar reels i think my favorite is the okuma helios sx its so smooth and just a serious reel. I actually wanted to get the curdau dc but i just never made the leap. I appreciate the honesty as i take your opinions to heart as your all about just catching fish . Not trying to sell all these companies stuff. You fish alot of the same rods and reels as i do. I personally am a abu guy . I love my revo baitcaster with the larger gear box i threw it on my 7'9" xheavy swimbait rod . Its a beast of a set up. I just got the new revo sx spinning reel and im in love lol its the spinning reel ive been waiting for the price is just over 100 bucks but fishes like a 200 dollar reel just a awesome spinning reel .i got 2 lews reactors and those im pretty happy with as well . The ardent kinda scared me away from the higher priced reels cuz its honestly a pain to fish .you have to dial it in for each lure or youll backlash like you've never used a baitcaster before hahaha. That helios brought back some faith tho cuz its just a badass reel... well ill stop talking your ear off hahsha love yiur channel msn always great content for the everyday fishermen . You have a wealth of knowledge and i appreciate 🙏 you sharing what you've learned over the years . Its helped me fast track in the learning curve.

Lowbrow ! Awesome video ! As I've mentioned before the Boy Howdy has become one of my favorites. Thanks for introducing It to us. Question: Is or does the Scum frog work good in the open water as well ? As compared to matted grass.

  • @LowBrowFishing

The scum frog can work excellent in more open areas, especially the frogs I use with just the single tail. I really like how it resembles a frog hopping across the water.

I think I'll pick up one and try it. I haven't much practice with frogs. I have fished them before but to not much success , but gonna keep on trying. I've caught a couple on a small black spitting frog from Booyah before. Let's see what happens when I get a scum frog and a couple more.

What part of the country are you located in..? I’m up here in Washington state in the west side. The last couple weeks the fishing really slowed down. I might run out later today and throw everything at them, see if I can figure out what they are biting on
