Veganism should also be a spiritual thing, in fact, the original ancient raw plant base eaters (raw vegans) were very spiritual. Take the shaolin monks for example, although very gentle, they can be very lethal. That is how I am, a spiritual martial artist, weight lifting warrior who is a raw vegan. Blessings

@@leehyunsong7001 The thing is, factory farming is beyond more destructive e.g animals, plants, tress, nature/eco system, water source; and all that grain being used to fattened up the animals with, they can use it to stop world hunger. Plants and trees produce fruit and vegetables, an extraction one might say, a secretion like tears, eye boogers and mucus etc, then ripe to eat. Blessings

Minneapolis MN. We’re getting vegan and vegetarian places opening all the time and many small vegan businesses are here. There’s a vegan eatery that serves FREE to anyone who wants to eat on holidays too. I’m just sad that Punk Rawk is closing.

I feel sorry for vegans, one of the best things about traveling is experiencing unique local foods of different cultures, yeah sure you can experience some local non meat foods especially in places like India, but some of the best cultural food experiences are meat dishes.

Indo Bule gotta disagree. I’ve been vegan for almost 23 years and I’ve traveled the world. I’ve had plenty of local food that doesn’t and has never had meat. I’ve had wonderful local food in Egypt, Beijing, Shanghai, Paris, Corfu etc.

(Burger King is testing a plant-based burger that has fooled meat-eaters.) I've been vegan almost a decade. Don't feel sorry for me. I eat well and do not miss meat. I'm not missing out.

Vegetarian friendly, yes. Vegan friendly is more in the south than in the north. Paneer isnt part of the main cuisine here and never in my life have i seen anyone use cream in their cooking, which is more used in north indian cuisine. Of course, vegan version of it can be made. But by the way its cooked normally, it isnt vegan friendly in the north.

Naresh : true to that but if you order anything in North India without paneer, you won't find cream in the curries. Avial is with buttermilk : that's not vegan. "Tiffin food" in North India is also vegan

Anchal Nigam but they still add cream in dal’s , mixed veg n other curries! It depends on what you order! Most sweets have milk/ cream as well!! Ghee is not considered vegan either.

Naresh Kuppuswamy Almost every other place customises food without dairy in North India too. And multiple dairy free dals and sabjis are easily available, not every sabji has paneer or cream added to it.

I would also mention Turin - Italy. For 800k people more than 20 100% vegan restaurants and a lot of vegan friendly places. The first 100% vegan bakery in Italy (since 2009), Ratatouille and many other choices 🇮🇹❤️

Italy has so much traditional dishes that are completely vegan: pasta al pomodoro, focaccia, panelle, farinata, minestra di pane, fave e cicoria, spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino, etc. And I would not mention Pizza that is easily "veganizable". We can compare Edinburgh and Turin: Happy Cow says 11 Restaurants (500k people) for Edinburgh and 23 for Turin (880k). For me... Not bad!

Emanuela don''t be silly there is absolutely no chance Torino makes the top 100 probably forget about 10, I grew up in Torino and go back every year, it's great that it grew allot compared to the past but it's in no way a vegan friendly city, most places don't have any real vegan options and you gotta deal with peoples negative attitudes all the time

Whole Food Plant-Based Man lol. You’re right. LA is really vegan friendly now. Eating out is so easy and enjoyable it’s hard to stay home and cook. Prices are coming down here as vegan restaurants proliferate. Pretty close to regular restaurants in price now.

If only Taiwan could educate your neighbors Koreans and Chinese to lay off the dog meat, cat meat, pigs, cows, chicken, fish, shark fins, frog, pangolins, elephant and rhino tusks(ivory) consumption for therapeutic garbage ...the animal kill list just goes on and on...💔

I live in Bristol and I’m really spoiled for choice here. The city has always been opened to alternative lifestyle. Apart from the vegans restaurant, nearly all restaurants in the city, from the most expensive to most affordable ones, all have at least one vegan option, which is soo greaatttt! I hope it will be like this all over the world xxx

Its amazing how you can keep your favorite food and shift to their vegan versions without compromising taste, now than 10 years ago. Its only thriving and the only way forward for sustainability.

Me too. here in my city there are a few vegan eateries but these cities are like vegan havens

I’m so glad Portland was on the list. It’s always been culturally forward, liberal, and high on the arts. Veganism is a perfect fit. I lived in Portland during the ‘90s, but didn’t go vegan till 2013. My heart is still in Portland. When I go back, I’m looking forward to a luxurious vegan lifestyle.

This is awesome! Definitely have to go to some of those cities! Already checked out Berlin, it’s heaven for vegans!

All this vegan stuff is so amazing, lovely and positive video. Can't wait until the rest of the Worlds like that too. So much better for the animals, the Planet and each other. Plant power! =)

@Flyleap That's fine. And I agree that some people are unaware of the diff between vegan and vegetarian, and yet speaking confidently. But there is an ancient religion "Jain" which is probably the oldest or the second oldest(diff theories) religion of the world, follows the lifestyle which is quite similar to vegan. And even better that that, bcoz they also exclude root vegetables bcoz during the process, it kills numerous organisms. Jain monks travel with naked legs so that they don't hurt any small lives. Inshort, they do every possible thing to don't hurt others, by physically or mentally. Read about them in details, as you are not Indian, you will be amazed by their philosophy.

No. If it is vegetarian , then Palitana city tops the list. This is only complete 100% vegetarian city in the world . Animal killing is a crime here . It is a holy city of Jains because there are many Jain pilgrimages.

You forgot Tijuana, Mexico. The busiest land border in the Western Hemisphere. It has over twenty something restaurants and vegan markets with artisan goods. It hosts vegan festivals too. Vendors etc

I have been vegan since I was born. My friends and cousins always told my family and I that we would not survive but look where are we now. I am 21 year old and the oldest person in my family is my grandpa who is 92 and still walking. ❤️ he always told me eat wisely and look where are we now.

Athens, Greece is very vegan-friendly. Perfect for restaurants and street foods.

I still feel that vegan and vegetarianism is better than eating processed meat, cold stored fish, genetically altered beef, packet milk and egg which never hatches. Small terrace garden can keep you healthy than anything else.

I recently traveled to Reykjavík, Iceland. Lots of vegan options there as well. Quite surprising considering how small the country is. As a country, they are very focused on the environment. Definitely recommend a visit!

We visited Bath, England and there were a surprising number of options. Now I know why. It's very close to Bristol. This is a great list. Eating is the largest part of travel, so if it's fun, the trip is fun.

I would add Toronto, Canada to this list. Ever since I moved from there to Germany, I have REALLY missed all the amazing vegan food that used to be so easily accessible to me. Pretty much every decent restaurant in Toronto has vegan options now, and there are SO MANY incredible vegan restaurants. I cannot wait to go back and indulge in some great vegan delights! I’m hoping to move to Berlin soon so that I won’t feel so deprived.

So amazing to see the progress. 20 years ago when I first went vegan, there were only a handful of books and barely any products. I made a Tofurkey for Thanksgiving and my family thought I had gone loony tunes! Now, there is so much to offer with so many products, companies and restaurants. Who's laughing now??? 🤣😂💚🌱💪🏼

WOW. I wish I lived in Bristol, England or Portland, Oregon. I've been happy for the last two years because there is place in my city where I can buy a vegan burger. I would spoilt for burgers in Bristol or Portland.

So proud to see UK right there at the top of the list , I wonder where Australia is ? Specially where .i live in Perth W A , Vegan , one year and so much healthier, was delighted to get a vegan meal from Ikea , for $5 , and delicious too !

Veganism should be a spiritual thing, in fact, the original raw plant base eaters (raw vegans) were very spiritual. Take the Shaolin monks for example, yet very gentle and spiritual, but lethal if provoked. That is what one is, a spiritual martial artist, weight lifting warrior who is a raw plant base eater. Been in Tel Aviv, 🕎ate falaffel 3 times a day. The falaffelbars provide all you need. Salad🍅 protein etc. And sauces like you never tasted before. Hope to go back one day ...... a happy vegan from The Netherlands ⛵⛆🌞

Are you kidding me🥺 , approx 40-50% of india is vegetarian and you just picked 1 city . It's a vegan paradise Yeah indians eat milk and milk based products but you can easily choose non animal products meals in entire India

most of our ancient Thamizh cuisine are vegan something that is still prepared day to day in the household. what you're speaking of is because of the influence of the west (fast food) , mughalai and the north Indian cuisine. Hope even more ppl wake to our traditions, non-violence and peace much preached our sacred book Thirukural. 🤞

@@cyanaboy - Most of Indian vegetarian food is vegan friendly. Dairy is mainly used for sweets. Almost all Indian cities are vegan friendly.
