What a great vid. TY :). As a former St. Louisan, I have been to the Magic Chef house and the Cupples house at SLU. I had no idea about the Sappington house. Now on my list when I go back to visit friends.

I go to SLU and the Cupples house is my favorite! I believe the basement now holds an art gallery, and the upper levels have an amazing amount of glassware on display. It's a student favorite to study at. It'd be awesome to see a video about it!

With #7 the exterior design of the smooth painted front versus the side of the house in brick is the Painted Lady style. It would be awesome if you did a video on painted lady row houses in stl bc there are quite a few. I remember in 3rd grade when we did a tour of STL architecture, it was one of my favorite building styles! Love your videos

Shelley was such a treasure I bet she was a wonderful lady .I’m glad she bought the house. Every time you take us on a tour of a property your wealth and knowledge of that property is what draws me into watching. My grandma passed away at 99 years in 2018. She had a magic chef stove she bought in 1934. And she used it every day. The people that brought her home said the only reason they wanted it was because of the stove and they still use it till this day. So thank you again it was a treasure to see this video.🥰🥰🥰🏡

Fantastic video! My son is at WashU and every time we go to visit STL I love exploring this wonderful city. Thank you for doing these type of videos. The real estate videos although interesting ( for those trying to find an old house to buy) lack the historical context of your other videos. I hope you get a percentage of the sale if any of those houses is sold thanks to your advertising. 😉

  • @ThisHouse

Our pleasure! We do not get a commission on the sale, however we do sometimes charge a modest fee for marketing the properties. When featuring homes that are for sale, we will only ever present ones with outstanding architectural merit. Sometimes we are unable to find history on the homes we present, but feel that it is worth while to showcase the unique styles from the different time periods. We are so glad you are enjoying these videos!
