Top 7 Things to do in SINGAPORE
Singapore is a small country but don't let its size fool you. There are so many fun things to do here and we've rounded off our 7 favourites in this episode.
One of our favourite things to do is find a vantage spot where you can get a glimpse of the city skyline and that's exactly where we head to first with the iconic Merlion Park.

For our 2nd spot we head over to a quirky, fun and vibrant street near Bugis called Haji Lane. Haji Lane is known for having great cafes and shopping by day and then cool spots to dine and have a drink at night you definitely will want to visit at some point if you're in Singapore.
Singapore has world renowned zoos and aquariums and if you have enough time you should check out all four attractions. We've been to them all but in this episode, we take you inside Jurong Bird Park.

Now it's time for a bit of shopping and there is one area that reigns supreme if you want to spend some money. It's a shoppers' paradise and none other than Orchard Road in Singapore.

Shops are normally open around 10am - 9.30pm
When you ask most Singaporeans where you should go as a tourist they will say Sentosa Island! So that's where we head to next. Sentosa Island has so much to see and do but some of the stand outs are:
Universal Studios Singapore

Madame Tussauds Singapore

For people who enjoy gardens and light shows the next stop is a must. The beautiful Gardens by the Bay where you can catch a light show at 7.45 pm every night. Seeing this place in person was just amazing, it really does embody Singapore's vision of being a garden city. It was also one of the set locations for Crazy Rich Asians. Gardens by the Bay is definitely a must-visit in Singapore!

Finally you can't say you've been to Singapore unless you visit a hawker food centre. There are so many great ones to choose from. It's where all the locals go to eat. What's not to love with great flavours and reasonable prices.

Hahah that's totally what we spend most of our time doing in most places we visit lolll.. I think we're both starting to put on a few kgs but hoping all this heat is helping us sweat some of it out 😂😆

Super unique... especially that African Shoebill stalk! Looks like such a predator :o
It’s cool how it looks like a ship on the top of the hotels. All of the animals exhibits look like they were well shaded and looked like a jungle. The gardens by the bay is definitely on my bucket list

Yeah the animal attractions here in Singapore all have a good amount of roaming space. I think only the parrot enclosures could have been a lil bigger. Marina bay Sands is cool right. Dunno how that big ship got up there 🤔😁
The waterfall aviary is on my list of places to go Sg!! So wonderful..I love the birds too!!!

Yo man this bird park is the best one I've ever seen. They've got everything and the aviary is just simply the best. You'll love it man. Come see it before they close down rumor is they're moving to where the zoo is 😯

Yea it's a pretty neat light show and with all the music too! I preferred the regular lights tho and with the sunset in the back, that was the park at its prettiest I think! :)

It's actually a really busy bridge and very wobbly with all the people coming and going on both sides hahah we had to keep trying to quickly shoot our lil takes in between the emptier spots! I was paranoid I would drop and/or break the camera walking backwards and shooting Peter hahah 😂😂

Yea you can easily spend days at Sentosa especially with the family, so much to see and do there as long as your wallet can handle it 😂 It was really cool getting to meet some local supporters of ours and have a meal together. Shout out to Adryl and Serene for that awesome Hokkien Mee spot!

This was great guys. We love Singapore so much. We've been there like 10 times now and we're always so sad after we leave! It really is amazing how much it has changed over the past decade or so. You pretty much covered all the best places but you missed out on getting a traditional Singapore Slinger at the raffles hotel!!

Amazing list of things to do in Singapore guys! 👍🏻 Our favourite must be the last one, visiting hawker centre! Haha it’s always the thing we look forward the most, even keep thinking about while we’re on the flight to Singapore lol What we would add to the list is the Universal Studio, as it’s the only one in Southeast Asia. Most people from around Southeast Asia, always want to go to Universal Studio when they visit Singapore for the first time 😄

Cheers guys! 👍 Hawkers are awesome ay... great selection of delicious and cheap food! We were grateful to be able to meet up with two of our viewers in Singapore and enjoy that meal together 😀 Ahh true.. didn't realise it was the only Universal Studio in Southeast Asia. We just visited that spinning Universal globe on Sentosa but didn't get tickets to go into the park. We've been to a couple others so kinda figured it would be the same-ish. Def would be a great way to spend a day tho!

hi @@PeterandYen if you have never been to vietnam before i think you will love it there been many times , fantastic beaches ,great seafood, and i think in general the food is pucka. glad that you are both enjoying it , and you guys take care yeah,

It's quite impressive ☺️👍 Singapore is great for holidays. Almost everyone speaks English, public transport is very efficient and food is much cheaper than NZ especially if you're eating at hawker centres which are the best normally anyway 😁🙌

this is the first video of yours i have watched. i immediately had my suspicions about where you’re from which you quickly confirmed ... with the word “jandals”! great vid btw. singapore is such a terrific place. three years’ ago we stayed at the marina bay for the last night of our holiday. the pool is awesome but everything is just expensive there.

Peter and Yen nah. from melbourne but have lived many years there spending time in akl, chch and wlg - 12 years over a 15 year period. love your country. really my second home. so many wonderful memories and friends from my time there.

For a small country there is so much to see and do in Singapore 👍
I should start writing this down on a list on a piece of paper so I don’t miss out when I do my word travel 🧭
If I have another chance to go back, I will try the Singapore River Cruise in Clarke Quay. We went for the Duck Tours. That was fun.

😍 I've always loved beaches. We're pretty spoilt coming from New Zealand though hard to beat a kiwi beach.
The Merlion Statue was relocated from inside river mouth , and was instructed not to lay it down. Indeed, it was lifted over the Esplanade bridge to the current Waterfront spot in 2002.
