I absolutely love my Revolt, such a fun bike. I can throw it down just about everything, from rough road to singletrack, and ride back up in double quick time. The one tiny thing up with it is the tyres that come on it are absolute crap for UK conditions but that is quickly remedied.
Another video promoting the Vitus Venon without mentioning that the retailers that sell it are bankrupt and is unclear what's going to happen with the whole brand

Good point!
I'd pick the Revolt, except the creaking PF, my 19 model is still running trouble free
Cycling Weekly is most likely not as independent as they'd have us think. The marketing departments of the manufacturers that ended up on this list likely had something to do with their bikes ending up on this list. We should not be naive. If Cycling Weekly wanted to do a valuable video, they would tell us the actual value differences between the highly expensive bikes and the mid-tier bikes within the ranges of each manufacturer, instead of re-hashing the marketing videos put forward by the manufacturers. There is a bit of a reckoning coming for the bike industry over the next few months. Unfortunately, a lot of smaller bike brands will fold, and the big brands like Specialized and Trek will keep gouging the public. It's our own fault for keeping paying the high prices.

ALL niche markets have become like this. It gets even worse as price category goes up - the hype train must be kept alive.
I have the 2023 Revolt AP Frame. Love, Love, Love it. Have it set up with 44F, 9-50R with 50MM Rims and swap between road and gravel. It is just as fast as any road bike I ever had and goes off road like a dream.. I have a 2022 Checkpoint SL6 and absolutely hate it. No comparison to the Revolt.
what about the Bianchi Impulso, has anybody thoughts on this bike?
I'd pick the Grizl over the Grail......but for me I'd pick the Fairlight Secan.....
any news on Vitus. I would like to get Vitus substance.
Which one would i pick? None of them… instead, Cube Nuroad SLT all the way!
just missed seeing the new Bianchi impulso!
Would be good if price indications were given for all the bikes, not just randomly.
I’m surprised the basso palta isn’t mentioned here. The new canyon grail is almost great, but lack of 45c clearance a really silly oversight. The specialized crux is more of a Gravel race machine than the over priced str.

I think it's on purpose. I read in an article that the pros told Canyon they would not race on anything wider than a 42... Now if that is a wise decision, I'll leave in the middle.
Not mentioning the Rose Backroad FF, unbelievable. For sure the best race gravel bike 2024, by far.

Great bike I have 4k miles on my race wireless seigla. Fast and comfortable and great value for the spec. I waited a year for a size L canyon grail that never was available
How come no trek cross check alr 5 ?? There pretty decent.🚲🍺
Benotti Fuocco Gravel Carbon beats all those 😜
I got to test the BMC warrantee and found it was a bad experience. I have had warranty claims with other brands frames and never had the trouble that I have had with BMC. My frame had a manufacturing defect and when I put a claim in to have the frame replaced BMC intially refused the claim and stated that because the defect was not readily visible that I would have to accept it. After some more correspondence BMC accepted the claim. My bike is safe to ride but I have to take the bike in to the shop where the shop has to provide evedence that the frame has been cut up before BMC will send the replacement. This means that I will be without a bike for 4 to 6 weeks. I would not recommend buying a BMC bike based on my experience with them.

BMC's are a joke. Shabby manufacturing practices and nosebleed silly prices because they spend all their money paying pros to ride their disposable trash frames.

I was surprised you skipped Trek and Cannondale. The Topstone is a very good bike in carbon and alloy. But then again this is just your opinion and I respect that.

We don’t have gravel roads in Florida. If a road isn’t paved, it’s probably private. 😮😮😮
Specialized, Cervelo, Pinarello, etc... should really stop doing that thing with overpricing everthing. Bike costs 14k€ and it's real cost is under 2k€. This is getting out of hands. Wake up bike industries. This is one big NO!

Easy solution, don‘t buy the expensive bike and go for a cheaper one. Oh, and stop whining. p.s. I bought my last brand new bike in 1990 (Cannondale M2000 frame with Syncros components), only 2nd hand since then.

Why don't they make a gravel bike with a front suspension fork?

There is also a Giant Revolt with a Rock Shox fork. A front fork isn't really necessary.

Because that would negate the whole idea of gravel riding altogether. People wanted lighter bikes to ride faster on paved roads and easier terrain and nobody needs suspension for that.

@@einundsiebenziger5488 Depends entirely on use case, I wouldn't feel safe running a rigid fork doing some of my gravel rides but even a hardtail is mostly overkill there. Where I live a lot of the goods tracks are also connected pretty much exclusively by pathed roads of some variety or another, so a good middle ground makes a lot more sense for me than sticking to one extreme to keep the accessibility. 40mm is plenty of travel and still doesn't get you the same weight penalty you'd get from running 100+ like you would on a hardtail and the more aggressive position on the bike also makes way more sense while riding in open fields. If a gravel bike is supposed to be a hybrid between a roadbike and a mountainbike (just an explanation for the genre that I've heard lots), then insisting on a stiff fork as a deciding factor of what is and isn't a gravel bike is silly

Nobody needs suspension on a gravel bike, especially not a whimsical, ugly "solution" as offered by Specialized. Suspension and single chainrings belong on MTBs, that were slow on tarmac and in less technical terrain which is why gravel bikes came into being in the first place.
