My photography teachers always said “a degree is just a piece of paper.... you need talent and passion and a little luck to be an artist...” to make it even weirder... this was at two different times in my life and two different teachers who didn’t know each other said this to the class😂😂

Julian Linares can you give a better reason ranking can and does change often. I go to Artcenter College of Design and on some sites we are ranked top 5 other sites top 10 I’ve even seen us at top 20. Ranking changes from year to year. So why else is SVA hot trash?

I am not understanding all good school exist in English speaking countries only? Are you sure ?

I have a school in my city. It's the best in my country it's a proper art school with amazing people. There r hidden gems Everywhere . U just need to look. I was thinking abroad for studies cuz I wanted to get away someway

Go to Angoulême in France, the capital of french and belgic comics also known as "BD". Heure u can find some of the best schools in the World (just as popular as The GOBELINS)

You could find every field you want in UAL, especially the CSM is the best of the best

With rapid change in technology and consumer needs, organizations worldwide seek individuals that have a combination of creative and technical know-how to match up with real-world application. This course offers a rich combination of experiences in imaginative creativity, the humanities and the sciences.

How about Aalto in Finland? The english bachelor of design program started last year. We're number 7 in most worldwide rankings in design (5th in fashion design) and we do have interdisciplinary study and work. Here there are a lot of interesting student projects in the design field, ie creating feasible biological printers to print organs etc. in cooperation with medical, biology and engineering etc.students. I feel there is quite some worth in that. It should also be added that study there is completely free for European citizens and far less expensive than the US for example for international students (about 12000Euro per year to study there). They also have an epic student culture and incredibly cooperative students and professors. Not to mention that you can live there quite cheaply (I pay 230Euro a month for my 2-bedroom apartment, shared with my roommate and dog andwe have a bathroom, a fully furnished kitchen, a big terrace and a living room) as long as you don't splurge on food (We spend about 160Euros a month on groceries and cook everything ourselves). The first thing you do in the course is learn how to work the mechatronic and 3D-printing workshops shortly and then proceed to learn CAD programs, finished up by a finished design you create in the end of the first 6 weeks. We were encouraged to choose a minor from the engineering or biology fields instead of business and are obliged to take at least 25credits from courses out of the school of design. While you study you have free project access to a ton of workshops (ie glass blowing, smithies, clothworking, differennt 3D-printers, from plastic to cement to metal, and even labs specifically for crossing design and, respectively, biology, chemistry and engineering. Honestly, this video was pretty biased, they also left out the University of Milano which also has excellent design studies as far as I am aware (I am friends with a proof from there due to dogstuff, and that man is a genius and I trust his word when he describes the opportunities there.

hello I m looking to apply for interior design in Italy, france or spain.. which schools would you recommend?

The best art schools of the anglophone sphere.

What about France and Italy? I’m from Spain and people always go for Italy due to it’s history with art and art education and France has always seen pioneers in art of all kind. From Spain the top one is UPV in Valencia (for art). I will probably go to an English speaking university in exchange though, since I’m doing advanced English, so this is still useful. Uh, if only I had all the time in the world to learn languages (and money of course).

How could you not include Goldsmiths London? Has alumni such as Damien Hirst and Vivienne Westwood

@@user-sn2ob7ms9l I go to Chelsea right now and student life is pretty good. I started during COVID so didn’t get much in person but my course (BA fine art) went above and beyond for us in the current situation- they added extra things for us like talks and workshops with funding they would’ve used for the lecture theatre. The SU had most things online with COVID but there was lots to get involved with and we were always getting emails about different things we could get involved with. Night life right now is dead tho, maybe with COVID slowly going it’ll be back soon. I’m not much of a party animal tho so I can’t tell you much in that aspect.

I don’t have a background in art or design but would like to take some courses, does anybody have any suggestions? Do I have to get a degree to learn or go to school? I have an interest in making my own designs for clothing. Thank you in advance Edit: I live in the Bay Area and Going on 36. Not sure if those are factors or not

why isnt ArtCenter College of Design, Calarts, SVA, Sheridan or Gobelins on here? just seems really biased or yall didnt really do your research

I do enjoy your videos and hate to leave this comment but if SAIC is on this list.... why wasn't SCAD on this list?? SCAD is known to have one of the most reputable art schools in this country.

designlover scad is not accredited.. so u have to stay there all 4 years. if you decide to transfer no credits will come with you. Scad isnt as good as people make it out to be.

Lorena Martinez yeah i applied for SVA and got accpeted and everything but when they asked me to pay 9,000 to pay for my first semester i was like bro i dont have that. So i rejected them sadly. But Like I was told by one pf my professors who work for AIGA and he says the school's title doesnt make you a great designer it is yourself that makes a great designer.

Have you ever been in another country other than England and US bubble? God, walk anywhere in Paris, Milan or any major european city and you see how much more serious design and art is part of their culture.. Hard to believe top 5 schools are in US and england alone. I think he meant the MOST in the world!

New York School Of Interior Design is said to be the best in the world, if you're looking for an Interior Design Career, sorry NYC beats RI! It's the design capital of the world, what a great place to educate yourself. So I'd rethink your list to allow "8" schools.

Hi Do u mind me asking what you are studying?

I know nothing nor care much about the arts, but i know alot about business. Unless you consider yourself not only good but a great artist, careful with the 300 plus thousand debt at the end of the degree. You dont think the same at 18 than when you are 30.

I am an aspirant of study fine arts as a professional programe, but am from India, so is it affordable for me there tution fees, accommodation etc
