What is the industry standard person size these companies use when publishing tent capacities? As a 6’ 3.5” 250-300 pound man (depending on the season) I feel like the tent engineers don’t have me in mind when designing a “three person” tent !!

Hi Tyler, great question! Tents are sized by by the number of sleeping bags you can fit shoulder to shoulder. We suggest you use tent that is at sized for at least 2 people more than the number of people that will be sleeping in there to ensure everyone has adequate space.
