Kitzbühel downhill is the most prestigious and challenging race in alpine skiing for the greatest alpine skiers. Only the best and bravest skiers can conquer the legendary Streif course Kitz, which features steep drops, sharp turns, and high speeds. Franz Heinzer: The Swiss skier who won three consecutive Kitzbühel downhills from 1991 to 1993, becoming the first to achieve this feat. He also won the World Cup downhill title in 1992.
Dominik Paris: The Italian speedster who won three Kitzbühel downhills in 2013, 2017, and 2019, setting the second-fastest time ever on the Streif in 2013. He also won two World Championship medals in downhill and super-G.
Beat Feuz: The Swiss champion who won four Kitzbühel downhills in 2016, 2018, and twice in 2021, becoming the seventh skier to win more than twice on the Streif. He also won the Olympic gold medal and the World Championship title in downhill in 2022.
Pirmin Zurbriggen: The Swiss legend who won three Kitzbühel downhills in 1985, 1987, and 1988, as well as four overall World Cup titles and nine World Championship medals in various disciplines. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest alpine skiers of all time.
Franz Klammer: The Austrian hero who won four Kitzbühel downhills in 1975, 1976, 1977, and 1984, becoming the first to do so. He also won the Olympic gold medal in downhill in 1976 with a spectacular run that is still considered one of the best in history.
Didier Cuche: The Swiss veteran who won a record five Kitzbühel downhills in 1998, 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012, becoming the oldest winner at age 37. He also won four World Cup downhill titles and six World Championship medals.
A couple ski racers like Luc Alphand and Karl Schranz also has 3 wins, but the ones with 3 wins are ranked on podiums.

Growing up, the Wengen and Kitzbühel races were like christmas morning. Shame Cuche never won it in Wengen but in Kitzbühel he was unbeatable so many times.

Top 6 4 Swiss
Mentally, physically the toughest DH on the tour. Kitz is the F1/of ski racing. Looking out the start-hut is like no other! most quiet place at the start area of all races. Into the mix in a split second. Bormio/Garmisch are a beast also. Dark, Fast and rock hard ice. Great job with the Video Speed King! nailed it!!

No denying Cuche as one of the greats, but Klammer remains the true King of The Streif.
What about 2 other 3 times winners: Karl Schranz, Luc Alphand ?

Unfortunately winning from the top in Wengen and Kitz is important. Nothing the skiers can do about it, but important none the less. I believe Klammer has won the most from the top (4).
Holly crap, most people do not go this fast in their car.. These downhill ski racers are like astronauts or rail duel dragster drivers !!! It takes steel balls to be successful in this sport...The difference between victory and second place can be as thin as a length of fishing line !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@rolandgasser6711 didier cuche hat die streif nur 2 mal gewonnen bei voller länge franz klammer 4 mal bei ganzer länge bei noch schwereren bedinungen,österreich hat die meisten Medaillen beim skifahren ,die schweiz ist höchstens top 5

Any such list that doesn’t include the three triple gold medal winners from a single olympics is a crock, just like super g is a crock, a marketing exercise to sell more advertising. there are only three events needed to determine the comprehensively best skier. Downhill, Slalom and Giant Slalom.
