As a bio student I went “!!?!!!?????!??!” after L’Oréal claiming that, that essence goes 10 layers deep into your skin lol 😂 I mean do they even know how many layers of skin do we have 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

The last point was spot-on. I really wish more women would incorporate that, normalise how they look and work on understanding why they feel the way they do (peer pressure mostly) and start appreciating their skin more. It's a fact that when you feel good, you look good. We need to stop chasing shitty beauty standards that don't even exist, it's all made up and we know it. We must learn to own our little flaws bc they make us unique and bc no woman has a perfect body or skin. Most women watch KZreadrs/ads and get influenced when they should do their homework before buying anything. I believe when you invest time and effort in your skincare, you won't have to invest tons of money on makeup and I swear by this. I've been following you for a while now Shweta and I absolutely admire your brutal honesty, hard work and no-bullshit attitude. You're a gem, stay blessed. 🌼

Absolutely agree with all the points! Sunscreen has helped my skin so much in addition to other steps. My dermatologist told me that even the glare from the computer/laptop and mobile screens have the same impact as with sun exposure. And I've learned to accept my skin the way it is and not going overboard on skincare products. There was a time when my entire wardrobe was filled with skincare products that I eventually had to discard. Now I use minimal products and they work great for me. And I realised each skin is different and relies on DNA so I've stopped comparing my skin with my friends or celebrities who may have clearer skin. It's a refreshing change and I feel good about myself 🙂

You are Niacinamide of the youtube community... the perfect active without any side effects.

There are only a few honest youtubers like my QUEEN SWETHA, JOVITA, SHERRY .. In my personal opinion, youtubers are the major category who spread wrong information and reviews for money

Haha,even maggi takes 5 minutes to cook😂. Brands have created a lot of FOMO but also made things which are normal to have an issue. Dark knees,elbows,butt etc are normal because they occur due to friction. Cellulite is normal .Texture is normal. This causes a lot of insecurity among people especially the influential club i.e teens. Thanks for addressing such things shweta.

Im proud of my pigmentation on my lips. I’ve tried everything as a professional I can assure you it still stays. Some improvements will be there but I’ve learned to love it. Maybe this video will help her younger audience to understand that too

Thank you for speaking about 1) torturing skin with multiple, MULTIPLE!! products 2) the importance of keeping skin cares routines simple but regular. That 60sec face wash has done wonders to my face! 3) how that "filterface" is too good to be true 4) accepting one's body in all its beauty and (IM)perfections!! :) Dark patches and stretch marks needs to be normalised ASAP!!

My sister is 32 and she is facing a lot of dark spots issue... I am #homemade influencer😅🤭 and she came and asked me what do with it??I simply said her get an SPF and you will be sorted..Influencers like you and Jovii has made me supremely aware about the ill effects of not wearing sunscreen.... Sunscreen is really a game changer! Once you make it a habit (even if you miss a few days here and there) it automatically takes care of many skin issues! I have always used a chemical one and your skin really looks younger with each passing year!

This is fantastic!! I love the way you speak!! I have learnt so much from you. When it comes to skin care for Indian skin, I only listen to you. Every single point is bang on! I have a request, this entire summer I struggled with my night time skin care, not a single product felt nice (but I love those in winters). I feel that there is not much information about a routine which can work in a hot and humid summer. I also know that skin care is very personal and one size cannot really fit all. However, can you suggest directional routine which can work (actually more than working, something which will feel nice) in a hot and humid place like Kolkata. So, that I can be prepared for next summer! 😃

Absolutely. I was too having major FOMO and decided to introduce Niacinamide to my routine. Got the one from Earth Rhythm. And I would apply it thrice a week only at night and when I woke up in the morning though I didn't feel anything, people started telling me my skin looked rashy. I thought maybe my skin is taking some time to get used to the active So i let it be and then it turned into the Sahara desert with dry patches everywhere. I quit using it and went back to my regular products with a weekly BHA and skin is back to normal. lesson learnt - if it isn't broken don't try and fix it.

I personally believe keeping skincare simple esp with a hectic work schedule but as you rightly pointed out that we are getting effected by the fear of losing out. Skincare is all about patience.
