Ойындар

Welcome to our countdown of the top 50 arcade games of the 1990s! Voted on by many thousands of random internet people across a good few years, so not my personal Top 50 by any means. This decade was a truly exciting time for video gaming and the arcade scene was at the forefront of the revolution. From classic titles to lesser-known gems, the 90s had something for everyone.
In this video, we'll be counting down from 50 to 1, showcasing each game and giving you a taste of what made it so great. All of the gameplay you'll see in this video was recorded on our very own home-built arcade machine, allowing us to bring the authentic arcade experience right to you. We'll take a look at the game play, the graphics, the sound, and anything else that made these games so much fun to play. And of course, we'll talk about the history of each game, who made it, the year it was released, and anything else you need to know about each title.
For those of us who grew up during this time, the arcade was a magical place where we could escape reality and immerse ourselves in a world of virtual adventure. The bright lights, the sound of coins dropping into the machines, and the anticipation of starting a new game all combined to create an unforgettable experience.
One of the great things about the arcade games of the 90s is that they were truly ahead of their time. The technology used to create these games was cutting-edge for the time, and the level of detail and complexity was truly impressive. From the colorful characters and intricate levels to the pulse-pounding soundtracks, these games were designed to be immersive experiences that would keep players coming back for more.
In addition to the great graphics and sound, these games were also known for their innovative gameplay. Many of the games on our list feature co-op multiplayer, allowing players to team up and take on the challenges together. Others offer unique gameplay mechanics that set them apart from the competition. Whether it's battling against other players, exploring vast virtual worlds, or simply trying to achieve the highest score, these games offer a level of excitement and challenge that is hard to find elsewhere.
So sit back, grab your quarters, and get ready for a trip down memory lane as we relive the best arcade games of the 1990s. Whether you're a fan of action games, fighting games, puzzle games, or anything in between, you're sure to find something to love in this video. Jumping back into the world of ‘Street Fighter III: Third Strike’ really hits different. The way they brought Chun-Li back and expanded the roster, it’s like a love letter to the fans. The depth and strategy with the parry system is just chef’s kiss.

For those light gun games, I highly recommend using the Wii remote in a plastic gun with the Mayflash dolphinnbar. That is if you can pick up some cheap Wii controllers and gun cases for cheap. I have the pistol, "crossbow", and the Big Buck Hunter rifle cases. Makes all the light gun games really fun. If you can't find all that for cheap, then spend the money to get a really good gun like the Sinden.

There are quite a few options I've found for running lighting games through Batocera. Been watching Batocera Nation regarding use of light guns on it, it's a very strong possibility they will get added at some point this year. Wii remotes seem pretty cheap nowadays but need to see what will work best with my cabinet and set up. Mayflash dominator sounds crazy badass lol

Obviously the graphics in the 90s were far superior to the 80s, but the 80s games seemed to have a lot more variety and character. They were willing to try anything in the 80s, and they came up with so many unique concepts. Maybe the limited hardware and graphics in the 80s forced them to focus on game play.

Don't get me wrong, I pumped many quarters into these in the day, but yes, the 90's games, while technically much more advanced, definitely lacked the variety and originality of games from the 80's. Too many Street Fighter and Final Fight clones (not that I didn't like those games). My all time favourite of that era has to be NARC.

@@SwobblyDoesStuff The easiest way to play custom songs is to use the DDR clone Stepmania, which "classic" DDR themes (the UI) can easily be found for. Most of the community already has classic video game music prepared for it you can find, or you can always add them yourself. I'm sure the actual games could be hacked in some way to add/remove music but there's no way it worth the effort when you can just make Stepmania look like Extreme and use that

As I've said in many comments on here, this isn't my list or my favourite games. It was compiled against games from the decade that were voted on by thousands of people. Arch Rivals were in the 80s :-p. Yes I have them all, I have about 6TB of games from pretty much every console.

You seriously did another list without the name/publisher/year visible at the bottom of the screen?

Dig dug was released in to the arcades in the 80s so maybe check out my best of the 80s arcade games. Thanks for watching :-)

Hey its all good, we all have games we are passionate about and that is what helps make gaming (especially classic gaming) something close to our hearts

Your list is like 75% fighting games :/ WHat happened to Spy Hunter? Cyberball? TRON, for god's sake?

As with most comments, it's not my list it's one that was voted for by thousands of gamers. I made an extra video with some of the great games that were not in to the top 50

Those games were the 80s which he covers in the video he has done for the 80s. The 90s arcades were probably 75% fighters at least 🤔

@@thrjfi5360 Simpsons was released in 1991 and is in my top games of the 90s. As for the other game, not heard of it and no one ever voted that on to the top 50 on any game lists.

Sega Rally sucks now? This dude is smoking something he shouldn't be. And why would someone put games they don't like on a top 50 list?

It's perfectly fine to disagree with another person's opinion and the reason I didnt choose my own top 50 games is pretty obvious. I wouldn't have remembered 50 games from that period plus there are many lists of games out there that were voted on by thousands of internet users so chose the most popular voted list. I also stated that I have been spoiled by games like Forza horizon. My views are objective and my personal opinion.

Your showing the 2nd game, not the epic first game of Joe and Mac at 49. It should be in the top ten imo.

Thanks for spotting that and pointing it out to me. Sadly not much I can do about it after the fact. I checked my games and it seems the one shown is labeled how the first one is. Definitely a pretty good game though. The list and order wasn't defined by me as I would have had so many different ones in the list.
