No mention of the effect of difficulty on your workout? I can do all the levels on normal difficulty without breaking a sweat, but all it takes is to do an entire expert + level and the inside of my rift is full of sweat. This girl in the video looks like she's never used VR before so probably not the best example video to play in the background.

Can confirm this. I've been using only Beat Saber to exercise and if you follow a lot of the tips in this video you can really get a great workout. Just make sure you're actually wearing workout clothes cause if you sweat easily you'll be dripping after 8-10 songs.

If you want a good workout with Beat Saber I recommend exploring custom songs so you can sing and dance to your favorite songs. Crab Rave and Rasputin are some of my favorites to play because they make you move around a lot so you burn more calories too

@@maybee3317 can confirm for standard quest, Headset is fairly front heavy, and the only way to really fix that issue is either to buy a counterweight or battery pack, or quite literally grabbing a large rock from the backyard and taping it on... but doing so just adds more weight..

If you are trying to get a good workout, I recommend Overkill. Not the DLC version. The custom song mapped by Nuketime. It is much harder than Angel Voices and really gives you a workout.

HowKidsBecomeKids i started being able to do a expert song every few tries (3rd time being in vr at that point and first in beatsaber) and i never used nofail Atm (i got game around the 27th of december 2019) and now i can do a decent amount of the songs on expert+ i am a full believer that nofail would make me worse (hint, use practice mode instead)

I've been playing this for a few years and tell truth fit beat should be on this list

It doesn't look impressive or look like a good work out when you show a beginner playing on easy. 🤣

Alright here's a real list for Expert Plus players: 5. Boundless (Faster Song) This song isn't that hard on Expert Plus but once Faster Song is enabled, it can be a bit of a workout. 4. Rum n' Bass One of the more challenging songs released a while back. The length of the song is what will tire you out. 3 minutes and 9 seconds. And for a bigger burn, Faster Song. 3. Balearic Pumping (Faster Song) This song was already one of the hardest in the game at launch but with Faster Song and Expert Plus, it's such a satisfying workout. 2. This Time (Monstercat DLC) The first 3 songs I mentioned are mostly Faster Song tracks but this song is vicious the entire time. It's one of the only tracks I can play and just sweat without Faster Song. 1. Overkill (Monstercat DLC) I don't care what anyone says. That minute long intro of insane notes is tiring. And then you have the final drop of the song close to the outro. It's nothing but double notes and you have to swing like crazy to hit them all. Anybody can say Angel Voices is number 1. I refuse to play it. It's the only song other than like Radioactive (Imagine Dragons DLC) that is a slow song with a ridiculous amount of extra notes thrown in for no reason. I understand that it's like the Through the Fire and Flames of Beat Saber but it just doesn't flow well at all. I can understand when it starts to pick up and get crazy, sure. But when it's slow and there's an overabundance of notes for no reason other than to make it hard, it's not fun. It's a good song don't get me wrong but I'd rather play a song that's hard but flows well like This Time or Overkill.

this thing is addictive i was lazy to even jump my rope who is always sitting in front on me now i go as far as wearing a headset putting on earphones and putting a bandanna then stay all up for an hour trying to beat those maps it deserves every penny you pay on it

If you really want a challenge, get into custom songs, Mortal Kombat theme song and Beat It by M. J. are some of my favorites!

You cannot install custom or third party songs on PSVR. Buy an oculus quest for this ability.

The rumbling custom map is a big work out

Tip #1 play expert plus on any song that says Camellia

Caramelldansen, Daddy by Psy, Rockefeller Street (Nightcore), and Treasure by Bruno Mars are my top custom workout songs you guys should give them a try! Super intense and fun 😁

Best version of till it’s over is the community made where you can find it on the website

And now they have 90 and 360 degree mode, so you'll have to pay attention to which direction the blocks are coming from.

I just knew before watching this video that the suggestions would be useless 😂 go with the 90 degree or greater ones. You have to move your body and stretch more. Definitely gets the heart rate up

This vid just shows how to play beat saber. The person and gameplay in the background is obviously a beginner. I recommend downloading some custom songs that have a fast bpm and range from 3-5 mins with close to 2000 notes. If your not ready for that then just play some expert songs on the ost

If memes are your cup of tea, you can always download a mod accessibility where you get to download and play songs that’s not official but made by other players. One particular song that I love trying to beat without breaking into laughter is Champion ayaya. It’s bout a face crumbler, but the notes are perfectly placed that you have to work on hand and eye coordination and do full ROM (range of motion) to really get a high score. And you’re a fan of DOOM, there’s always BFG Division that’s harder

I'm a total scrub at the game lol The max I can do is hard and MAYBE expert on most custom songs. However, the vanilla songs are pretty easy on expert and even expert+ (with some exceptions). That being said, Beat Saber is only for warm up. The actual cardio is being done in BoxVR! ;)
