In this video, we're going to share with you our top 5 ways to hit the ball to the opposite field.
Check out the list below:
✅ Basic T work - The goal is to visualize hitting the inside seam of the ball every time you put it on the T. This will help you avoid hooking the ball and hitting ground balls to the left side.
✅ Target practice - Call out a location for the batter to hit, such as the back net or the top flap of the L screen. This drill helps with sequencing and hitting to different locations.
✅ 45 Degrees Open - Align your feet with the shortstop and try to stay through the middle of the field. This drill helps simulate letting the ball travel and working on your opposite gap.
✅ Off-centered flips - Stagger the L screen to the left-hand side and have the batter shoot the ball to the right-center side of the net. This drill helps players let the ball travel and shoot to the opposite field.
