What would you recommend for GTI modifications? Also don’t mind the # in the list aha..

I have a mk6 with a downpipe, muffler delete, CAI, GFB DV+, and a stratified stage 2 flash tune. I love it. Puts the fattest smile on my face. Ksport Kontrol Pro coils in the mail.

I have a Mk7.5 GTI autobahn. 1. downpipe 2.Intake 3.Tune 4.Is30 5. Water/Meth soon

If manual, get a stage 2 daily clutch system installed. Full exhaust, intake, unitronic tune. Coolant hoses from ecs tuning. And if you're feeling it tint to atleast 30%......LED everything.

@@emldV2 ECS sells a relatively cheap clutch system, Exhaust is 700+ for turbo back, tune is easily 600 for stage 2, anddddd i think coolant hoses are cheap tho

The LAST thing you do is the tune. Downpipe CAI exhaust thennn the tune.

I agree with the majority of the list, but i would put a brake upgrade before suspension! I own a Mk6 GTI (daily car) and have done the following: cold air intake, upgraded brake discs/lines/calipers/pads, full cat-less exhaust system, Stage2 tune, along with some other small stuff. It is an awesome drive, always puts a smile on my face!

Definitely agree with the intake, earlier this month I got my mk5 gti and it’s such a great car. The intake makes it flutter each time you let off and it’s so much fun to hear. Definitely better than the Subaru I use to have haha

Rob Cameron yeah man these cars can handle it, I got an intake without a tune and it runs like a champ, but of course a tune helps with getting the most power efficiently

If ur car is turbo fluttering w an intake isn't good for your engine. Make sure u put all the lines back on correctly. That could be what's causing the flutter.

Bradon Turner yeah I got my diverter valve changed with the upgraded piston valve and it fixed the problem, seems like the oem one leaked boost

Very helpful and concise. Would like to hear at least three options on the mod suggestion of tires. You gave one-Michelin pilot. Any others the community likes?

If i had to do it all over the 1st thing i would have bought ESPECIALLY being on budget, would have been a dogbone mount 50$ or less (recommend ECS's), Short Shifter & shift bushings if you have a 6M (that was about 125$, Rear sway bar (150$) & lowering springs (250$) then tires. Also if on a budget save your money & get a drop-in airbox filter..

Honestly I would recommend getting an intercooler and downpipe before tuning to stage 2. My oil temps started raising after I got my gli tuned. I now how a Cobb accessport and bigger turbo installed on my car. It makes 350 at the wheels, spent about 8 grand trying to add mods that keep the car reliable which people often miss. Brakes wheels and coils are necessary to for performance

Would also recommend sway bar links, bushings, short shifter, as well as a stage 2 clutch both gti and gli's have soft clutches so I'd recommend getting something a big stronger for when you go up in hp

Intake Exhaust Wheels Suspension DV+ Intercooler Turbo muffler delete KO4 Tune That's my plan, only intercooler, muffler delete, and KO4 to go. I don't want to be too greedy with the stage 3 turbo, I don't want to be scared my engine is going to die while driving. Lemme know if I missed anything for performance, I'm new at this.

But if you don’t have a tuning like apr or cobb if you change something it will get a check engine and if is intake you will have misfires in the GTI, I’m telling you because I had the same problems with it

Hi so I have a 2007 GTI Fahrenheit edition I just got the timing belt doneand the shop told me they don't see anything wrong with the car at all they really like my car actually and for a while I was thinking about buying a newer GTIbut now that they told me this I'm thinking about putting some money into it it has 107000 which seems load to me just curious about your thoughts thank you

I have an mk7 and you missed probably the single best mod I've made: an anti sway bar. My car now goes through turns like a pancake. Honestly I like it better than the stage 1 for my curvy back road drives.

Nice to hear that you've finally come out of the closet! And the first mod you should get should be a cold air intake.The APR or VW R line intake look the best to me. Ive got a RamAir which was already on the car when I bought it. But the APR and R Line take the air in through the grill whereas most of the others take it from the engine bay which would mean the air has already been heated up. Just my thoughts on it. Nice vid tho and good advice.

A high flow cat or catless downpipe is where you get the performance benefits in the exhaust going there isn’t a bad idea and you’ll most likely run into problems with your diverted valve so replacing that can be good and certain after market ones make cool blowoff noises

Too ricer? Nah, the cai and exhaust work in tandem and are needed for stage 2 or higher tunes to get the full power of said tune. Those mods become rice if they are done half ass'd which unfortunately is the case with many first time modders.

Oh good I thought it was just me. It feels like he watched a tutorial on how to be a successful KZreadr and one of the suggestions is to talk with your hands, it just looks unnatural/forced
