I did the Annapurna base camp trek last year in march during a week time( ascending and descending). I was with my friend who had experience trekking on trekking destinations of Nepal, since it was my first time trekking in my homeland wondering in the wilderness and looking for reason on people coming to Nepal from other countries. It was the very first time I got introduced to safety gears and etc for doing Alpine trekking/climbing, I also got the motivation to work hard in life as approached close to the base camp and be that very first person to walk in to base camp that morning . And as I walked around the base camp 5 feet covered with snow which on regular days is not norm to have that amount of snow there. It was the very first time Annapurna had that amount of snow in the base camp that, there were Japanese crew, Spanish and an American fella on MBC to ascend next morning for skiing. looking around to those snow caped mountains ( Himchuli, Machapuchre and Annapurna south) in the same place was incredible and out of this world Man!, I still have those memories lingering on my mind. I have my mind set for Everest Base Camp trek for next year already, not even next year like if the government starts allowing for local tourists to do the treks following the COVID safety guidelines then I am doing it ASAP as the route gets open for trek when I get back home :D , if you want to see the glimpse of what it felt like for me to reach ABC camp, I fortunately happened to put that moment in my YT last year after descending to Pokhara - kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZ2iyJWhoNKuk7w.html , its a raw clip thou :D .

Along with Manaslu Region in Gorkha, Nepal there is a splendid place called Tsum valley. Tsum valley saw the first set of tourists in 2007 when it was formally opened for trekking and tourism activity by Nepal government. And the beauty, culture and people of tsum valley are marvelous. You must visit there once.

Regarding Annapurna Circuit Trek: Yes roads are being built till the lower villages of the trek(Manang, Khansar). But there is a separate route for enthusiasts if you want to trek from lower villages. You can opt to trek from the upper route. (Chame- Upper Pisang- Ngawal-Manang) which still has a trekker friendly trail and remains undisturbed by vehicles except on 2 small stretches. Regardless which way you go I assure you, its beautiful. Happy Trekking. Jay Nepal!

If u are planning for thorongla pass then u better try on September. It's the easiest season for trek. I did this trek when I was 15 years old. It took me just 4 days. (Day1) From Pokhara to Manang on jeep, (Day2) Manang to Upper base camp(Normally people spend two days for this) , (Day3) Upper base camp to Mustang through thorongla pass, (Day 4) Mustang to Pokhara on bus. Note: It requires one day extra to trek through Tilicho lake from Manang itself. We didn't went through Tilicho lake because of lack of information.

Hey, Will I've been enjoying your travel content about Nepal so much. Keep it up, dude. Regarding the Annapurna Circuit, This February I had the opportunity to trek it and I must say it was out of this world. You are right about the roads, but hey people need their year-long supplies right and on top of that the roads are unusable anyways during the winter because of snowfall & avalanches. It's also recommended to start the trail a little further (say Chame - Headquarter of Manang) rather from the original trailhead (BesiSahar). In our case, we choose to take a ride till Bagarchhap (40kms inside the circuit) & then started the trek from there and made it to Chame on the first day. There is this small 1-day section called Upper-Pisang Route (Trail) parallel to Lower-Pisang Route (Road-way) between DhukurPokhari & Bhraka Village which what we choose to Trek through and my-goodness it's the best way to witness the valley and the Annapurna mountains. And it is pretty dangerous too, we saw one giant week-old avalanche debris right before DhikurPokhari. And by Giant, I mean really huge. The Lower-Pisang route is also not-recommended during winter because of the same reason. Last year when I was there in Manang, we heard of a very sad news of a foreign-trekker and a guide being swept away in a mid-day avalanche. The Yak-kharka to Thorang Fedi (Lower Base Camp) Section after crossing the only suspension bridge is also pretty risky and dangerous as it is full of avalanches most of the time. Local People and authorities do try their best to repair & clear the trails during the season. But I would still strongly advise against hiking alone especially if anyone is hiking the section for the first time. Always contact locals or your hotel runner about the condition of the trek ahead as they can communicate with hotels further in the trek and provide you current details. Talking about altitude, the higher you go, the harder it is to breathe and sleep at night. The most difficult nights in my entire trek were at YakKharka (4035m) & Thorang-High Camp (4850m) You are physically tired and you just can't fall asleep because the lower oxygen saturation in the air is so low that your brain doesn't get a regular amount of oxygen to fall sleep. We had 2 weeks of acclimatization in Manang (3519m) to put that into perspective. 😅 So acclimatize properly, usually, a day or two is recommended. We had some work, so we stayed for around 2 weeks in Manang. Reach me out if you ever come for Annapurna Circuit Trek. Will brief you in further detail. Btw I just published the First Chapter of The Circuit Trek on my channel. Hope you will check it out. Cheers.

We're feeling cool and chill today Because the temperature drops to around 36 degree Celsius . On the other hand, you say 31 degree is boiling hot which seems to us ridiculous 😂.

Upper Mustang is an archeological site .. it has 10,000 man made caves where mummified bodies, Buddhist paintings and artifacts were found... still not fully explored ... that’s the reason why it’s difficult to get the permit ... !!! It’s the most popular trekking route for the locals though !!!
