I just completed watching all your Ladakh travel english videos again, preparing for my first ever Ladakh trip next month and I must say... hearing you speaking in Hindi in this video.. .it just feels more natural. I also used this same thing in my own videos and feel that when we speak in Hindi... it feels a lot more natural, and even when recording, I feel like I'm able to connect with the audience more naturally!
@discoverwithdheeraj
Жыл бұрын
Yes bhai, absolutely.. thank you for sharing feedback... I just don't know why I started in English now.. may be it is do with that I live in US, so somehow started with it or may be I wanted to keep it for everyone... But yes Hindi is much much more comfortable and well more connecting and I am also able to converse rather than recite which I used to do in English more or less.. but we learn from the mistakes, I am happy and glad I made the decision to move to Hindi when starting my Spiti valley series so at least I don't have to convert them all.. Now slowly converting the Ladakh videos in Hindi but not all 104 just combining them to make less and cover more :)

Srinagar to Leh is open for one way traffic. Even Dates, traffic is allowed from Sonamarg/Srinagar side to Kargil and on odd dates traffic allowed from Kargil/Minamarg towards Sonamarg/Srinagar side. Traffic as of now is only allowed between 6.30 AM to 9.30 AM where first one hour is only for LMVs then later HMVs are also allowed now.

Hello Dheeraj hi , private car( white plate cars) are allowed to explore nubra and pangong lake? I heard taxi unions don't give permission is that true? A detailed video will help a lot of viewers regarding this question..it will help a lot 🙏
@discoverwithdheeraj
Жыл бұрын
Personal cars dont have a problem. As per taxi/bike union rule the private car or bike should be under your name or parents name or someone whom you can prove relation with. When you take a friend’s bike/car or some else's bike/car (not your immediate family/same surname), then you should carry a NOC document from them stating that the bike/car is for private use only, he is the owner of the bike/car with RC number, and he authorizes you with your DL number to ride/drive the bike/car personally for this Leh Ladakh trip. There is no guarantee but this NOC document will be helpful in case someone stops you and objects the case of RC not being under your name. Solving the matter amicably is highly recommended unless you want to go into the struggle and spoil the rest of the vacation and money for the trip. Sample NOC document link: tinyurl.com/5yrjthkr
Hello Dheeraj. Awesome videos. Suscribed on first day of finding your channel. Now, we are planning the full circuit this year. Delhi, kashmir, kargil, leh and manali to delhi. But looking at conditions now a days, it feels like the seasons have shifted by one month. Last year rains started late and it was raining till November. In many places it was more cold till March end and first week of April. So do you think it's advisable to make a Leh plan in second week of May? I have heard snow falls in few places and people getting stuck in snow in last few days, around 25th April. And seems there is still lot of snow on mostly all passes. Please advice.
@discoverwithdheeraj

Thank you so much. Seasons were always like this with expections of last couple of years only. I will suggest if you can delay the trip by couple weeks, that is, like starting after 20th May, there will be higher chances of less issues and more predicatable outcome for the trip.

Well, can you share the itinerary with me? Problem for 2 people is taxi cost is very high in Ladakh based on union rates: devilonwheels.com/leh-ladakh-taxi-rates-2023-24/amp/ If you check above link a trip to Nubra and Pangong over three days cost 22000 approx. so based on your itinerary i can suggest how much taxi cost comes.. then for moderate budget hotels stays and food I generally tell people to keep a figure of 1000-1200 per day per person.. then about 600 for environmental fee per person

Thank you so much sir for your kind reply, Yes sir , i had gone through your blogs regarding taxis and home stay , but unable to decide with whom I should go. Sir , can you please suggest the best home stays and also a efficient and gentle car driver for us , As per your kind advice I will go through Srinagar leh highway and back via Manali covering jispa , sarchu ,dipak tal , Suraj tal etc. Earlier I had gone to Kashmir in November 2021 , but couldn't make ladakh at that time due to harsh weather , my driver told me roads to kargil are closed. so this time I will go in the shoulder season , which is best time pre May or post September sir. Is my budget apt sir. Thank you sir.

Most likely Zojila Pass should open by end of week or early next week. It may open again for one way traffic only following odd/even dates with regulated timings for few hours in the morning. Road conditions near Zojila will be a bit bad.

Sir.Nubra valley, Khardung La, Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri, Permit chaye??
@discoverwithdheeraj
Жыл бұрын
Since 2021 end of season, Indian do not need any permit anymore in Ladakh for regular sightseeing. You just need to pay the Ladakh Environment Fee on the website and carry the receipt of it. Here is the link where you need to pay it: www.lahdclehpermit.in/register-as-domestic Current Ladakh environment fees are broken down as following: 1. Environment Fee = Rs 400 one time 2. Wildlife Fee/Something = Rs 20 per day 3. Red Cross Fee = Rs 50 one time but Optional, you don’t need to pay if you don’t want to. DO NOT confuse environment fee receipt with permit. You just need to carry this fee receipt, hard copy or soft copy. This receipt will be checked at various checkposts. Hence, people are confusing it with permit but this is just verification that you have paid the fees.

Hey Dheeraj, tried contacting you via Instagram but your brother in law is managing it now !! 😊 I have a small doubt. Can you pls let me know. I have made all my reservations starting 1st June 2023 - and now someone told me that from Srinagar to Kargil, the traffic is decided by odd-even days ? Is that still true ? Or true only in case of bad weather etc. For reference, 1st June - Gurgaon to Patnitop 2nd June - Patnitop to Sonmarg 3rd June - Sonmarg to Kargil 4th June - Kargil to Leh. Pls let me know as it will ruin all of my dates... :(
@discoverwithdheeraj

Ha Ha, yeah, I don't login to save time and add value on KZread with my content. Yogesh takes care of the handle at Instagram. Yes, the traffic from Srinagar to Leh is allowed on even days and Kargil to Leh on odd days. This is the case when roads are just opened, for example, surely in first couple of weeks of May. When snow at Zojila goes away they slowly start allowing two way traffic. It could be possible that by June they may start allowing two way traffic but this year we have had could of late season snowfalls, so it is a 50:50 chance.
