In this video, we'll look at 5 super useful strumming patterns that progress from beginner to intermediate level. This can hopefully lead to a breakthrough in the strumming patterns you are capable of!
We'll also cover a suggested chord change to try with each strumming pattern. Remember, learning the pattern alone isn't much use, you need to be able to change chords while keeping the strumming going to the correct rhythm and feel - that's the trick!

@@MooseLeader1 the high strings that are low....lol as in lowest strings to the floor! 😁👍🏼
Around 9:17 the pattern Andy actually played didn’t seem to fully match what’s on the screen. I think the screen version ends with “ D DU” when what’s being played is “ DU DU” - did anybody else notice that ?

This is my 9th month assignment foe learning guitar. Thanks Andy.
I love the way you broke these concepts down. Great production quality!
Great one Andy I've been learning guitar during quarantine with only your courses and I've made amazing progress. Do you think you could do some tutorials on the greatest showman songs I know it's old but the songs are really cool.
Sometimes I feel those who can play guitar are some kind of wizards.

Dear Andy!!!! Perfect 👌 lesson 🎸. You are a great musician and a good teacher too. 😍 I lost my hope to play like this. But you gave me a great way to start a new game and how to play the right way to show everyone that I can play good - thanks to you. I really appreciate your patience and time for all. 😍Before I get this lesson I was D D D and now I'm U U U.... ☺️
This was exactly what I was looking for to start with right now!!! Thank you! All the other ones tend to move into the next strum really fast and even though it might be what I can do at that moment... I want to build precision before going forward. This was a great help!
Idk if you read these but I must say you are such an amazing person. Having the patience of making oversimplified tutorials is something. Thank u.
Big Thank You Andy for making things so simple and easy!!! Your the Man!!!!!
thaankssss!!!!! I am still a beginner who struggled with my guitar and kept it lying on the floor 5 years ago...Now I just picked it up again and when I got a little bored with learning chords, i came here... Wow!!
youre the best, you taught me something I tried to learn for years, TY TY Thank YOU !!!!!
love to learn how to tap before learning the beat, thanks for showing tap and explanation
Your videos help a lot, Andy! Thank you 😁
Thank you Andy, focusing on the rythm has really helped me to learn quickly.
I’ve sort of doing this all along with knowing it when I practice my cord shapes. Great practice tips. Thanks.
Thanks Andy, your tutorials are great!
Great instrucional and fun lesson. Thanks Andy.
Thank you! Super simple. Sounds great! Learned them really fast.
YOU are really learning me about strummingand picking. Real pro teacher
Great video. I am enrolled in your site and find art difficult to navigate without getting confused. I am making progress on things that I have always been doing wrong - too much noodling and no groove. Thanks for setting me straight. I hate to admit it but I have been playing with zero groove for almost 40 years.
Very helpful video Andy, thank you!
Great lesson. This is just what I need.
I shall give this a go later, thanks for making this video Andy 👍
Super nice! Thank you, Andy!
The 4th one is a killer for me! I had no trouble with the others.
I am so chuffed with your lessons! Really having fun with 'm. Keep up the good work. Rock on :)

ANDY YOU ARE THE BEST!!!💙 LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MAN!!!👊🏽
Thank you SO MUCH!
Nice work. I think for the pattern 4, you're playing four 16th notes at the end, not 8th followed by two 16ths. Helpful video!
They say that learning on YT is hard, the trick they say, is to stick with the one tutor. Thanks mate, that's you.
