In this video, we'll look at 5 super useful strumming patterns that progress from beginner to intermediate level. This can hopefully lead to a breakthrough in the strumming patterns you are capable of!
We'll also cover a suggested chord change to try with each strumming pattern. Remember, learning the pattern alone isn't much use, you need to be able to change chords while keeping the strumming going to the correct rhythm and feel - that's the trick!

    Around 9:17 the pattern Andy actually played didn’t seem to fully match what’s on the screen. I think the screen version ends with “ D DU” when what’s being played is “ DU DU” - did anybody else notice that ?

    Great video. I am enrolled in your site and find art difficult to navigate without getting confused. I am making progress on things that I have always been doing wrong - too much noodling and no groove. Thanks for setting me straight.     Nice work. I think for the pattern 4, you're playing four 16th notes at the end, not 8th followed by two 16ths. Helpful video!
