Just purchased a Lifan KPM 200 from Venom Motorsports and am really loving it. I've only got 30+ miles on it at the moment at break in speeds but the ride, build, and look are fantastic. For less than three grand you can have a brand new bike with fuel injection, all LED, digital tach/speedo with gear indicator, gas gauge and blinker indicators, disc brakes front and back, inverted shocks in front and monoshock in the back (both adjustable), also water and fan cooled. And a two year warranty. That's hard to beat. Most of the comparable used bikes I looked at were $3000+ for a 250cc with much older tech and thousands of sketchy miles on them. Much happier taking a chance on this than a Craigslist special.

It's looks like a Harley but it always starts and runs plus it won't leak oil.

My question is, but first before i ask. Can this bike travel state to state, example if i was to ride from state to state such as from NYC to Pennsylvania which is approximately for me is a 120 miles away from my location. I visit there frequently, would it be saft to say because its a cruiser bike it'll be a smooth easy ride with out to much worries??

You could probably change the mirrors for something from a Japanese bike

I bought a brand new 2016 Honda Rebel 250 for under $3K, and that was OTD. I saved almost $1500. 2016 was then last year for the beautiful Rebel 250, and the dealer was overstocked. I bought it after seeing the Abominations that Honda was putting the Rebel name on for 2017. I still have it, in my living room, with just over 1000 miles on it. I'm 64, with some medical issues, and I'm saving it for when I can no longer ride bigger bikes. It has several times the quality of a Lifan. It can be ridden at full throttle on the freeway for over 80,000 miles before it starts to show any signs of wear. Just how far do you think that Lifan would last at sustained full throttle? I can tell you it would not be 80,000+ miles. Does the Lifan come in any other color besides black? I would never buy a black motorcycle. The Rebel 250 has no cat con in the exhaust. Back in 2007, I bought a Lifan LF200GY-5 200cc dual sport bike. It lasted 3500 miles before the engine blew up. If you want one of these, the best way to get one is to order it online, and have it shipped to you in a crate. Do you really want to pay $1000 in dealer fees on a Chinese bike? The "stuck in 1985 style" is exactly what I want. NO FLAT BLACK. The Rebel 250 is gone, But the Yamaha V-Star 250 is still available new, and I highly recommend it. You can buy a new one today, take care of it, and it will still be around 35 years later. If a disposable bike is what you want, learn to ride on it and scrap it, then the Lifan will probably do the job.

@@SmallEngineVelocity I bought my first Honda Rebel 250 in 1985, brand new. I had already been riding for 10 years, and had a Yamaha 650 Special. But something attracted me to the little Rebel, and it was dirt cheap back then. I eventually sold it. I then proceeded to buy and sell two more used ones. Then I bought the one I currently have back in 2016, brand new. I don't ride it much, but I'm not going to get rid of it. I have bad knee and hip joints, a lot of muscle, tendon, and ligament damage in my legs, and arthritis. I will eventually reach the point where I will not be able to get on or off, or hold up a larger bike, and the little Rebel will come in really handy. Better to ride a really small bike than not ride at all.

Uhh... It would of been nice to have seen more of the bike than the handle bars. I scanned through the rest of the video at the 1 minute mark and bailed. I'm off searching for other videos about this bike.

Lifan os the world biggest Motorcycle manufacturer, producent .

Long term reliability and resale value are the downsides for me. If you were to pair up an older Honda Rebel for example, while the Lifan is new, the Honda holds it's resale value much better than a Lifan or other China bikes. That's my biggest dilemma against buying a new Lifan over used known brand bikes.

I'd rather pay 3-5k for a new bike and lose 2/3 resale value than buy a 6-8k bike and lose half or more.. especially if you actually plan to put miles on whatever bike you buy

Potato , tomato , aluminum - I’ve talked to the CEO of America lifan saying how I say it and he seemed to be. lol , I think it’s because there is no commercials or advertisements that show anyone how to pronounce it so it just became that to me.

@@SmallEngineVelocity Bought mine for 3500 last July, they aren't much over 4 grand by the time you add all the rest up, my mistake, i had a 17 tooth sprocket replace the 16 tooth up front and a 42 tooth replace the 45 tooth in the rear, picked up 7mph @ the same RPM, runs much better now, i LOVE mine.
