Did anyone watching Queen of Tears notice how our Queen looks way too healthy and well right after her “major brain surgery”? Shouldn’t the director at least put a hospital cap on her head to temporarily hide all that beautiful hair of hers? For brain surgery, doctors usually would need to shave off part of the hair on the scalp area where they need to operate. In “Marry My Husband” played by Park Min Young, she wears a cap to make her look more like a cancer patient who obviously should look like she is losing lots of hair; and Park Min Young’s make up also helps to make her look pale, gaunt, and more like a cancer patient. I wish in Queen of Tears, the director and make up artist would pay more attention to details of the role that would help make our Queen actress appear more real as someone who just undergoes such a major brain surgery. In the most recent episode last Sunday, she was looking way too healthy and already sitting up in a wheel chair watching snow fall from outside her hospital room. All these details do not reflect the true conditions of a patient that just had a brain tumor removed through surgery. Paying more attention to details can help make our favourite K-drama more worthy of great reviews and fans. ❤

She didnt get actual brain surgery (or chemo even) because that was not something they could perform due to the nature of the tumor. So they explained that the treatment uses high frequency ultrasound so there isnt any surgery involved, so thats why she doesnt lose her hair. Its also why the risk was that it could damage her hippocampus which is where her long term memory is stored. So its why they didnt have to put a cap on her head or anything like a typical cancer patient.

Brain tumor removal doesn't necessarily require the scalp to be shaved. That was 20+ years ago. Current medical technology and all.

Wow Jang Yoon Joo was new to me and the contrast between role and real life is mind blowing! Never heard of her before, but sure is a fierce looking lady - in real life, not that much in role :D

You will notice how good the actors/actresses when they look different in real life.
